I want to invest in a decent speaker and amp setup for the longer rides, weekend out of town runs, etc.. I usually have my windshield on the bike for those types of rides but when I'm just doing an afternoon around town, I like more of the custom look and I take the winshield off.

I don't like the look of speakers mounted to handlebars. My question: has anyone mounted a setup to the windshield brackets?

I have an 03 1800C with a hondaline windshield.

Also, any suggestions as to the best sounding setup?

Thanks in advance..

I have my speakers mounted to the inside of my windshield brackets. I don't take my windshield off, but don't think it would matter. I have been running them there for 2 years now with no problems.

Ok, I have an 02 1800 with vance and hines pipes and I am running this system. I picked up an mp3 player and have a total of about 300.00 into it total.
I have the mp3 and amp mounted in my front fork bag so they are out of the weather, the speakers are water proof and have been in several down pours for many miles and still sound the way they did when I got them.

Awesome. How is the sound at freeway speed?
Thanks for the info! Any suggestions to mounting on the windshield?
