Well the Doc said the boot could come off a little bit each day and gave me this rubber band thingy to do some exercises with. My first steps felt like I was walking on Jello.

Then my wife ratted me out to the Doc and told him I went for a ride on my bike with it. He told her that if I did it again to call him and he'd come over and kick my ass. I told him to kick it right now because I was going for a ride when I got home. He just shook his head and walked out.

Walking up the stairs, comming in to change my clothes, I knew I couldn't hold up the bike without the boot. So I decided not to ride. I'm going to wear the boot to work and take shoe with me until I feel more stable on it. I was out of the boot for about 2 hours for a party tonight. As soon as I came home I had to put it back on and take a vicodin.

I may go for a ride Saturday, even if its with the boot. I just feel more secure and stable in it for now.

Somebody is going to put that boot in your butt, if you don't finish healing up first.

Muntz. We're friends right????

Well YOUR Being selfish.. Yes I said it Selfish... :(

You have a little person coming into this world who is going to need you a great deal. Don't cause them to miss any thing for an early ride. Plus your to young for a trike....

I have a friend with permanent ankle damage. You have no idea what he cannot do, just because of some thing that seems so simple.
Not to mention he can tell what the weather is going to do days in advance. Oh, and aside from the constant pain for 4 years now, it will just tell him your not standing now and over he goes.
Listen to the doc. Or we'll have to come over there....

 Muntz Muntz Muntz!

Don't be a dork! The bike won't go anywhere without you! Keep your little butt off of it until that foot heals!

To repeat Jim's story, I did the same thing with an ankle fracture many years ago. They had me in a non-walking cast that I walked out of the bottom, because it felt pretty good, thinking no "big deal". To make a short story long , I did not follow Doc's orders the fracture didn't heal right, it actually separated and I had to have surgery and the cast time increased by several weeks! I can't run for much distance even to this day, because of not listening to the Doc!

Hell, maybe I'lll challenge ya to a foot race.
Yeah, I had a non walking cast Broke it the second day.

I had the boot off for 3 hours at my bosses birthday party. I went up and down a few steps at the house and at work.

Now I know why the Doc said "level ground". I've been back in the boot for 2 days now. Today is the first day without pain since over-doing it on my first try. I think I'll keep wearing to work and then once I get home and prop it up for a while, I'll take it off when I'm in the house.

Now I know why my momma called me "ya hard-headed little imp". Finally after all these years I'm beginning to understand her.
