Well there is another Wednesday Night Ride to Nathans ( again )

Does anyone have a plan for a diffrent place.

This is getting very old......

Lets meet and do something DIFFRENT....

We need plans....for Sunday Rides, etc..........

Made ride to Claudio's sunday with half dozen other's was great day and nice ride. Want to ride to Sag harbor , Catch ferry to Block island and then greenpoint someday this summer.

I've only made it to Nathan's once so far, so I'd be willing to do it again this week. The weather is expected to be excellent.
I agree, though, that doing the same gig time after time gets boring.
There's nothing too inspiring about the trip itself from my house to Nathan's, although it's fun once I get there.
I enjoy the OBI run, but having a diet of nothing but long, straight runs can eventually get dull, too.
Ideas from other threads, like Port Jeff ferry runs, Bear Mtn, etc, are (IMO) excellent ideas for day trips, but too long for an evening ride.
I'd like to give Bayville a try one of these evenings -- the ride involves beautiful, tree-lined winding roads up to the north shore. The beaches there (Ransom and Stehli, if I remember correctly) are nice, and the sand and surf look great on brightly moonlit nights. You've also got bars/restaurants/clubs, etc, right across the street on the main strip there. Has anyone been there lately?
Alternatively, what about Freeport (on Thursdays, I think)?

Riverhead Raceway on RT58 has cruise night at the race track on wednesday nights. I'll probably go there this wednesday.

Bayville and Glenn Cove, via the back way through Westbury & Old Brookville down to the fishing docks, there is a place to grab a beer ( or Soda ) and a bite to eat.

Works for me.

If you guys have lost interest in hitting Nathan's tonight, I might be interested in riding up to Bayville, instead. Jetjocky -- do you know if that souvlaki place is still there (across the street from Ransom Beach, a little west of Steve's Pier One)? I haven't gotten up there in a while.

Sounds great (as long as I escape from work early enough, anyway). I may try to catch Joe as he's leaving -- he lives just a couple of blocks from me.
Are you guys planning to go out the Southern State to Deer Park, or were you intending to head straight up 106 (Newbridge Road) to Oyster Bay and Bayville?

I have not spoke to Joe since this morning at about 8:00 AM...He is under the impression we are going to Nathans, I will give him a call and see what he wants to do.

I am thinking tonight Nathans since some of the VTX guys are going to be there looking for us, and Thusday Bayville......
