Rode over 80 miles today and went to my first service

Well, the new vtx finally hit 600 miles and took it to B & R Marine in Batesville and had it's first service done. I have rode over 80 miles today and loved it. Started walking 5 days a week and the VTX is just the ticket to ride to the park to walk. Let's me put in around 16 miles on her too.

Hard to believe I have already had the first service done so soon.

Oh well, looking forward to really putting the miles on it too.

It doesn't do anything but get BETTER. I just got off a long ride this past weekend...and trip back was better than the trip there....

Sounds like a good gameplan Kenny, get in your exercise and getting to ride as a reward!

I'm already at the 522 mile marker, but I plan on doing my own servicing. There are some great instructions out there on valve adjusting, etc.

Hopefully we can hook up and ride somewhere sometime.

Do they have any problem servicing bikes not bought from them?

21,000 miles and have never had the valves adjusted, mechanic told me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Runs like it is new................. not saying that is good for everyone, I don't know.

We've got 9,000 on our 2004, only had it since Feburary!
