anyone in the Chattanooga area done their valves before...I am a bit skittish about this because basically with my luck I'll screw something up!! LOL

It ain't no fun. The 1300 is a cake walk compared to the 1800. If I had the choice, I would rather stick butter up a wild cat's azz. It only happens every 8000 miles so get started.

It's a pain, especially if you have big hands and fingers, but it can be done. My first valve job started at 5pm and finished at 11pm. I'm sure the second will be faster but you can't get in a hurry. You also might want to tie some strings around your valve adjustment tools, drop one down in there and you got a mess on your hands. Just follow the instructions in the help section of this forum. I'm Chattanooga and would be happy to help.
I did mine at 8K. It wasn't too bad. It was intimidating taking all the stuff off the first time. I'll get a quick release for the gas line before doing it again.
