Took the afternoon off and met a buddy with a VFR800 and went for a ride. I've got all new gear as I haven't had a bike in a while. Tourmaster Air Intake 2 jacket with the wind/water liner in was perfect for the temps, Tourmaster gel gloves..well..I could have used a little less mesh on the gloves yesterday, but I was fine. New RedWing boots worked great other than turning my socks black and I need to adjust the shifter arm so my toe can fit under a little better (haven't gotten used to the whole heel shifting thing yet). Went out to BGM Honda to pick up some bolts I needed, talked with Frank to schedule some service and discuss why we haven't talked in 5 years. Just some nice cruising around Hillcrest, Bingo, Vestal, Endicott and Owego. 50-60 miles and the bike runs great. Only had one idiot in a beemer blabbing on his cell phone almost turn left into my buddy. I nearly stopped my bike next to his car and drove my fist into his window for effect, but decided my hand would hurt and it wouldn't be very gracious of me so I chalked it up to folks not used to seeing bikes on the road this early.

All in all a nice, short ride. Very relaxing!

Hope y'all get out soon.

Well I rode out to Maine for Lax practice from Vestal and it was absolutely gorgeous. Then the clouds came in and KFC showed up on a whim and the timing was perfect. We went looking for Gentile who was getting things done on his Red Rocket. Finally hooked up with him in Vestal and went to Mama Guseppe's for Din - Din and proceeded to fill every orifice we had with some of the best I-talian food around. It did cool down quickly last nite.

And KFC rides from The Valley to Trumansburg at 6:30 AM yesterday in 19* weather. He said it only took 58 minutes to get there and 120 minutes to warm up again... You da man KFC. 8) :? 8)

Saw a guy on a black Honda yesterday AM turn into the Walmart plaza. Looked like a Ace or Shadow with these funky black pipes. 22 degrees was too cold for me, but 2 buddies called me to say they rode in and then proceeded to verbally abuse me for not riding in. Ah well...I was warm when I got here!
