Hi all, I just joined and am real enthused with the VTX. I am getting ready to "reenter" riding motorcycles. I have been away from it for 13 years and my last bike was a Honda 700 Interceptor.
Well, I want a 1800 VTX and was wondering where the best bikes/prices are in Arkansas. I live in Little Rock and plan on looking at the Honda shop here first, but it looks like Russelville Honda has some good prices/incentives.
Thanks for any help

I priced Sunrise Honda in Searcy, "They have a better selection" and B& R Marine in Batesville "limited selection, but more on that later" JR motorsports in Jonesboro" Good selection" Red River Marine in Heber Springs. I priced a 2004 1300c vtx with honda line accs. After the smoke cleared B& R Marine won in Batesville by about 600.00!! You will find similar prices on the models, but extended warranty, hondaline accs, license, paper processing etc. are way off of each other. If you want honda accs, make sure you buy them and get them put on at time you buy the bike.. That way they are covered by the bike warranty.
Happy with my choice, went back for first service yesterday.
P.S. B & R Marine won after pricing the big boys. They are a small dealer, but seem to help in anyway possible. If I can help in any other way, let me know.
Thank you
Kenny

Thanks, I hadn't considered anyone else as I didn't know of any other places. I will sure look at them. I still have 3-4 more months before I seriously start looking, but I can go to these places and check them out beforehand.
Thanks

I was very happy with Russellville Honda. I recieved a good quote and they stuck to it. Jason worked well with me as I orderd everything over the internet. I will buy everything from them from now on.

I like to check stuff on the web. Definitely saves time and tire rubber.
I couldn't find the dealer in Searcy, or the one in Batesville on the 'net. Do they have a website?
Thanks

Last year I thought my damn lip was gonna rot off out there from being chapped. Later, Dave

LL (Larry)Forget all the locations listed in the previous posts. Lake Hill Motors & Marine is only place to consider. Located in a not to far away Corinth, MS you will have a hard time beating there prices. For example they have spec 3 1800 Neo's for 13,599 now for you guys that dont know that is the one with the chrome package and blacked out engine. I dont know about Searcy, Batesville, Jonesboro, and all those others but Russellville is a joke, they do have a few guys I like. I live 20 miles from there but I bought my Retro from Richards in LR after wasting time at Russ. So check this link out www.lakehillmotors.com/hondabikes.html (http://www.lakehillmotors.com/hondabikes.html) or call 1-800-569-6205
I wish I would have known about these guys before I bought. Later, B.P.

B & R doesn't have a website. Talk to Terry Emery "Manager" at
870-793-8275
Look at the bikes wherever, but only when you are ready to make a deal tell them what you want with accs and that way you can compare apples to apples. Some include the sales tax "Sunrise" if you want them to.
B & R is open on Monday's where most aren't too.. :D
Good luck

Jonesboro's place is J.T. Motorsports, www.crotchrocket.com (http://www.crotchrocket.com) (870) 932-9001.
Their salesmen are not the most helpful in the world, I had to almost beg them to help me. But once I started waving cash they came around...funny how that works.

Did you ever buy?
I got mine from Bartlesville cycle sports in B'ville Oklahoma..
Got it for nearly 2 grand less then anyone else on the board at that time..

Yes! I figured that it would be cheaper to buy now instead of waiting til the end of the year. I went to Searcy and got a 2003 VTX 1800 R for $8,499, not including tax/title/license/DEALER PREP.
Probably paid close to $10k once all the above was paid for. But it is worth it!
I was considering a HD for about $17k-$20k so I am extremely happy!
In fact, I will probably see you in Hot Springs for the MSF course on Sept 26.
