For some road trips this summer I have my sirius radio mounted, as-well-as a mount for my Sprint Touch that I use with a bluetooth GPS and Tom Tom.
However, it would be slick if there was a way to mix the 2 audio outputs so that i could listen to the sirius, then when my Tom Tom voice saying "right turn in blah blah miles" i could hear that too. Not that any of this is a necessity, it's just for cool geekness. :)
You can easily make a Y cable to do this. Get thee to a RadioShack....

Yeah that was my first thought, but I've never been sure if this does anything "bad" to the amplified outputs.

These are *very* low level outputs. You should be fine. If you want to get crazy, you can put a diode in one leg of the connections.

You need a Mix It Amp

If you go with a reverse 3.5mm Y adapter at Radio Shack... let us know how it turns out.

yeah $180 does sound a bit steep. I know it works from talking to folk, but damn... there has got to be a 'good enough' way of low teching it.

I have the Mix-It2 myself. It IS sweet, but I believe there are similar and more inexpensive alternatives (the Boosteroo?). Still, it's probably the Rolls-Royce of portable mixer/amps; really slick! Here's a website pic and where I keep it on my bike (I've since widened the leather pocket with a shoe expander).

Get some shure noise canceling headphones, and you wont be sorry. Expensive but you can hear over anything.
