Susan,
It was nice that you guys stopped by.. When is Bruce planning the next couples ride?
Hello Jeff,
Tell Minda I said hi! We were in your neighborhood again today. We road up to Silverfalls. What is up with all the trees being cut down up there?! :( It looked awful.

We really do have to have another ride and if we leave it up to Bruce it may not get done. So, I guess I will have to get one together and make him drive it! Ya! That's what I will do! Teeheehehehehe  I think that we should head over the mountain, Sisters area. We could go and check out some of the ice caves. If you all are up for a hike we could go to the Blue Hole down the MacKenzie River. There are some beautiful stops along that drive too. Like Sahalie falls and Koosah falls. I'm not sure what you all are up for but let me know if that sounds good to you all. Be sure to invite John and Janet.

Al? What about you and Julia? I know it is along ways down here for you but, we could put you two up for a night or two. Let us know.

Ric and Lee, do you all want to ride with us again? We would love for you to come with. We all had a great time.

Jack(Warden), if we can make it on a Sunday, we hope that you and Lisa will come too.

Not sure on a date yet, but, if we are heading up that direction we want to make sure it is a warm day. The air coming off the MacKenzie river can sometimes feel like you are going through a freezer even in August!

Take care all and hope to hear from you.

Dang, there she goes pushing me into leading a ride!! I'm sure she meant to say this but all are invited I’m sure that she wouldn’t even mind someone coming along solo. I really hate being a leader, once I get tagged with that title it seems like I can’t make any decisions. But at least I’d have the real boss close at hand. If anyone is interested let us know and she will see what she can put together, and if someone has a better idea of a destination post!!

Susan,

We have not been up to Silver Falls for a while. Maybe we will buzz up there today. We did notice the log trucks with rather huge logs on them. I made the comment to Minda that it looked like someone was cutting some old growth timber. We did not know where it was coming from.

The Sister's ride sounds great. Throw out a date and we will try to make it.

Bruce,

After that first couple's ride. I can say, without a doubt, that you are far more decisive than me. Did you get that Ultimate Seat yet?

Jeff, when we went up to Silver falls the trail to the North falls was closed due to the ice storm in January. It said that there were many fallen trees. Though, I don't think that the clear cutting that they did had any relation to ice. It looked blatant!
To answer partially what you wrote to Bruce, We got the Ultimate seat and I can tell you that I love it! So much nicer. My butt doesn't get sore at all. We could probably go 2 hours or more without stopping. Even though my back still hurts, it is not related to the seat anymore. I just have chronic back problems. No more numb butt is sure a plus in my book! I will let Bruce tell you what he thinks about his seat.
Talk later,
Susan

Hey Jeff,
How'd that trip to the Honda dealer go with Minda's bike? About the Ultimate seat, dude it rules!! MUCH more comfortable!! But the main reason was for Susan and you read what she thinks.
About making decisions, wow, I can pull out into traffic. Susan will be making all the decisions whether she feels like it or not, she knows she’s the boss she just doesn’t want to burse my male ego. Once we figure out a few dates that will work for us we’ll post them and see who can make it.
Some time this summer Susan and I are also going to head up to Washington, there is a place up there that I have to see. It’s got 1000 year old Bonsai trees. One of my few hobbies.

Hi Susan,

I would love to come along if you all wouldn't mind riding with a new Harley rider.

Yep, I sold the VTX and bought a new Heritage Softail today. I just brought her home. What a blast! It rained all the way!

Let me know when you are thinking about doing this.

Hi Al,
Good to hear from you. Does that new harley have a passenger seat? Are we going to be able to meet your wife? If not, you can't come. Just kidding. :D Movin up in the world huh? Wow, I bet that was a thrill ride! Bruce and I got to ride one, wished we could have rode it longer than we did. It was very nice. I will definitely let you know when we go on the that ride. It will be soon. Just have to confirm a few things so that we can plan it.
Hey, I am suppose to be making you that dorag. I was going to do that today but, I ended up having to work. So is blue still the color you want? Or something else? Let me know. I will still make it. They go great with Harley's too.

Yeah, funny thing too. It is pretty comfty for a stocker. I will do my best to get her on the back and bring her down. The break in procedures for this bike are a pain. I want to ride it like my X but I don't dare until its broke in. I start back to work tomorrow, so by the end of the week, I should have about 500 miles on it.

Thanks for making me the doorag. I appreciate it. I will try and get a picture posted for ya.

Take care,

Al

Al, so you've gone to the DARK SIDE! did I mention that on my ride to Kentucky, the only time in 5400+ miles, the only time I got out my tools was to work on my brothers Harley! Accually I realy like the soft tail, it is more comfortable than the X, and a good looking bike too. Hope to see you out there soon!

Hello everyone,

Well we have come up with a couple of dates that work for us, so just let us know what works best for all of you.
August 15th or 29th. These are both on Sunday.

Thought that we would go over to Sisters, Oregon and do a little tourist shopping and then back track to Hwy 20 unless you are up to a twisty ride down 242. Then we can go and check out Sehalie Falls and Koosah Falls and by then it will be hot enough we will want to get cooled off by the ice caves. It will be an all day ride and we can stop in Detroit on the way to Sisters so we can break up the ride a bit. If you would rather not go to Sisters and just do a falls trip we know some other great falls in that area.
You could call this a site seeing trip.

Here is a link to a map so you all can see the roads we will be on.

Hope to hear from you soon.
