I recently asked Hal a question about the Ohio store & here's his response.

"The store just moved to a bigger location.

Its about 5 miles north of the old location in Bellaire, Ohio.

Its on Guernsey Street just off the road that runs along the Ohio River. I am sorry but I don't have the address.

Rt. #7 is the road that runs along side of the river. Should not be too hard to find. I'll give them a call and see whats happening. I'll post my results...and if any interest I'd like to get a ride together...

Due to an overwhelming response and interest, we will be extending the event by one day and begin at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 24. I made it a day trip one year. I went on the last day and stayed till the end hoping to win the Gold Wing. Long ride home at the end of a longer day. But it was still worth it. The next time was for the big 1000 VTX's attempt (make it up to 594 and set a new record). I don't remember if we stayed one or two nights. Help me out here Carl. But I'd reccommend at least one night to make a good trip even better.

We stayed two nights. Thursday night for the Friday Record Ride and on Friday night. Lex, Jim, you and I left late Saturday morning for the ride home.

I really would like to do to event especially since it will be the last one.

It's in my early planning phase that's two months late :lol: . The local rooms are probably already booked for Friday night and Saturday night. Thursday and Friday might be easier to get a room closer to the Factory.

The Honda Home coming , didn't they have camping on site, at the factory in Marysville? I thought I saw a sign posted somewhere in the parking lot ? This was in 05 for the record ride ! Maybe I was dreaming or :beer2: . Any one else see that sign? The hotels are booked in Marysville, in 05 I stayed in Delaware, nice place just a little away from party! :roll:

Dublin, OH has a bunch of hotels & is only about 20 mins from the factory. I wouldn't mind doing this, too. The last time I was there was in 2005 for the record ride. If I went, I'd like to go maybe 2 days (maybe ride out thursday evening & ride home saturday afternoon).

I'll be out of town until late thrusday night, but I'll be available to go friday after 12 or saturday depending on whats going on with thunder in the valley.

That's the same dates as BulDog's party in Fredicksburg Va.... which I already have plans to attend. I hope someone goes, takes notes and pics about HDL's Grand Opening.... that would be nice too.

According to the email I got, it appears they are carrying over the Open House the following weekend as well.... hmmmmmm
