Anyone familiar with East Coast Cycle Center, in Bensalem?
Supposedly has some good deals on 1800's. Am thinking about driving down from Rhode Island.

Hi bluz.
No info on East Coast Cycle, but I was in Cycle Max (near intersection of routes 82 and 322, east of Honeybrook, PA) and they were out of 1800 VTX's because they were discounting them $3000 off list ($2000 from Honda, and they were discounting another $1000). I bought 2 Arai helmets from them because they discounted them $100 each off of MSRP without even batting an eye. Their number is (610) 942-9060. I didn't buy my "X" from them, but they seem to sell a lot of bikes.
Good luck,
Steve

I live right down the street from East Coast Cycles and they are a bunch of a holes. They never deal with prices and don't act like they even want your business. I always go to Phila Cycle Center and get the best deal. They also have a web site. They are not that far from East coast and if you go on there web site and find some thing I will take you there if you decide to get from them.

Yo' Bluz,

Like Cliff, I'm not impressed with this place. The salesmen don't seem to want to bother with you. I went in there a few years ago looking for my first bike and was made to feel like a fool because I didn't really know too much. I was looking for some help on what to start out with, but the guy I was talking to seemed disinterested. I end up going to Philly Cycles and getting a VLX. They were much better to deal with. I went back last year and they gave me a great trade on the VLX so I bought my VTX there as well. No major complaints with them.

Have a deposit on 1800C, will be able to upgrade if I get there and like the R better. They've been good with me so far. Hard dealing when your 4-5 hrs away. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I fully agree. East Coast Cycles are OK.

I picked up my 03 1800C new for $8498 + Tax/tags at Montgomery Cycle Center in Hatfield, PA on Route 309. Those guys are very cool.

I'd avoid them if you can ... I shop at Scotts Power Sports in Cooperstown or Montgomeryville Cycle Center in Harleysville

I just bought a vtx 1800 c from east coast and had no issue with them at all except the final sale was a bit slow. they are selling them for 6998 plus shipping and setup, roughly 7300 for a red one which I purchased with an additional sum of moeny for cobra pipes and the commander unit.....while I was ther a guy came from indiana and purchased a vtx, he stated their prices couldnt be beat so he traveled to them!

Can't say I liked the people (I didn't), but I bought an '03 1800 C Brand New for $6998.00 on July 30, 2004. They were blowing out 2003s for cheap. Give them a call to find out if the pricing is still good. When I was there, there were people from FL, VA, TN, OH, NY, NJ gobbling these things up.

Good luck!

I got my X from them also a few weeks ago. They are OK to deal with.
My bike was not clean when I got it. I am still wiping the cosmoline off it, but at that price what the hell. Deal with Bill if you can, stay away from Aaron, he's a goofball, Go get it, the price is un-fn-believable.

Aaron is an ass. Rude as hell. Ryan was better, but you are right to deal with Bill. (If you can get him.)

I called East Coast yesterday and Bill was out so I am dealing with AAron.
The price for a Orange VTX 1800 C to me is $7,398 plus $349 dealer Prep.
He said the black is $6,999 plus dealer prep. He asked twice if I was out of state, so I guess the price may be different for out of state.
I pick the bike up tomorrow at noon. I will post how the face to face deal went.
I live two miles from Montgomeryville Cycle. They had Orange or Green for $8,499.

Bluz,

What color are you getting?
If they are selling you an Orange for $7,000 I need to have a discussion with Aaron. If you are paying $7,000 for a black one, he was honest.

I hope you get this and reply tonight.
The flow of information on sites like this make us all better consumers.

Just bought a 2003 VTX 1800c - 0 miles, for a little less than $10,000 at Kiss Honda on High Street in Pottstown. Was planning on getting one next year but hey, $3500 less than list and a year early, can't beat that! I can't think of a better value as far as big twins go.

Tom:

What windshield are you thinking about? I too am thinking about one. I was thinking of one of those removable (quick release) ones. I have already put one of those Paladin quick release sissy bar and luggage racks and it works and looks great.

Keep in touch,

Mike
