2008 WIVO Meet and Greet?

Will there be one this year? Maybe get everyone together, have some fun, enjoy some drinks and food? With all the drama this past winter, maybe we need a chance to meet, blow off some steam, and put the bad stuff to rest. Just an idea.

sounds like a great idea! A handfull of us made it down to Lincoln, last year for the Southern Illinois meet and greet, and they had a great turn out. Krut, and what8, did a nice job putting that together.

Anyone Thinking of a 4th of july party since it will be on a friday this year? get togeather for a BBQ and maybe some softball teams could be WI VS IL could be fun make it like a picnick at a forest preserve or something? would be a good meet and greet it's just an idea.

One tough thing about that.... there are 14 bikes with 22 riders already registered for Colorado that weekend from IL... and at least a few more from Wisconsin too....

Sorry for the late response, been on vacation. I really didn't have any particular day in mind, I just wanted to put a feeler out there to see if there was any interest in getting a M&G together. I remember there being one at the Broken Oar a couple years ago that I missed and it looked like a great turn-out. Some of us South-Siders rode up to Doyles last year and had an awesome time, I was just thinking maybe we could come up with a place (gulp) centrally located? It seems that there has always been an issue with the locations of our TWT's, as well as the fact that not everyone can always make it to them. I just thought this would be another opportunity to for everyone to try and get to know each other a little better, it could definitely help the moral of the board as well. We could even try to set it up for later in the season, like August or even September, after the major rides are done for the most part. Any ideas from you all?

I agree with Manley, I missed the original meet-n-greet at the Brat stop way back when due to work. I was hoping that we could come up with another possible meet-n-greet date this summer. Location doesn't matter to me, but I suppose it should be in a "central" location where it can be reached by all!!! Now if we wanna get adventurous, we should ALL think about meeting at the Brat stop the morning of July 17th & cruise all the way to LaCrosse, Wisconsin to participate in the 2008 Midwest VTX Rally (July 17th - July 20th).
