Greetings from the balmy south. I pm'ed a couple of guys from this board and the Wyoming board but I thought I'd put this out there for everybody in case you catch us on the road. A buddy (and his wife) and I are heading out from Baton Rouge next week - 6/4 or 6/5 - heading north. We have to pick up another guy in Keokuk, Iowa, then we're headed northwest. We're definitely going to hit Rapid City and we have hotel reservations in Cody for 3 nights. Plan on riding Yellowstone and Grand Teton area for a few days, take in as many of the sights as we can.

I'll be the only one on a VTX (they're riding HDs) and I'd appreciate some local phone numbers in the event I have mechanical problems. Nearest dealership - a reasonable shop/local wrench - etc. You can pm me with your name and phone #. If you're out riding that week - my bike is a Candy Red '03 1800 Retro - with a Quadzilla batwing fairing (also Candy Red), black furniture and saddlebags, with USMC decals on tank and back of sissy bar pad, a yellow Patriot Guard banner across the windshield, and pulling a black cargo carrier trailer (Piggybacker). Hope I can meet at least one or two of you while I'm up there. Thanks. John Colter ........a.k.a. coltergeist

CHeck out the Cody night Rodeo while in Cody. I'm sure you have a plan already, but Chief Joseph highway and Beartooth highway are both a must. Redlodge, MT is a great little town. Check out Sam's tap room at Red Lodge Ales if you like beer, or the candystore on main st. (it will bring back memories form childhood!). Have a good trip!
