I have to say that I was very impressed by the turn out.
I'd like to give public thanks to all of those who contributed.
Bytme: There were many positive words on your suggestion to meet at Bobby's Girl Diner.
DuelXer: Thanks again for mapping things out and taking the lead leg from Manchester to the diner. Great job!
I'm willing to bet that you all won't be asking me to take the front position ever again. LOL Sorry for the wrong turn-offs. I'm not very familiar with the roads but I do learn from my mistakes. North, South, East and West...........until now, I didn't think there was a difference. :? Thanks for keeping me straight.
I'll check with my better half to have her pull the pics from the camera and either post them or send them off to CaptDanbo for posting.
Glad to see the board is up and running.

Absolutely an awesome time on this ride. I can't believe we actually pulled it off. No schedule clashes and great weather. Not to mention getting to meet everyone from the board. Great bunch to ride with! When are we going to do it again? hehehehe.
As I mentioned, pics can be e-mailed to me at: captdanbo@danbodigitalmedia.com
Don't be afraid to send large files. The only problem would be if your service provider limits your file sizes. If that is the case, just send fewer pics in each e-mail and send more e-mails. I'm going to put mine up on Wednesday since that is my next day off. I'll link to them here on the board, similar to the link to my bike pics. So, get them pics to me ASAP. I know I'm just as anxious to see them as everyone else.

The fun part is going to be trying to remember everyone's name on the board to who they are face to face.
I think we did a pretty good job for the first get together. Don't worry about it Spgrenier you did fine, it is hard to figure out your way around when you have never been to that area before.
I enjoyed myself in the back of the pack and following others, usually I am forced to lead the groups I ride with and get to do all the thinking and paying attention. It was nice just following everyone else.
What was funny today was that two people at work saw me on Sunday and waved, I never saw them and was surprised they were able to pick me out of the pack!
Now everyone needs to start thinking about where they want to go next.......

It was a great time had by all, the wrong turns are to be expected, the group isn't the most seasoned in group riding. It was awesome to see such a strong turnout for a ride like that, goes to show that the NH X'ers are doing well and going strong. I'm sure it will continue to be great, it was a bummer that the message boards went down the night before, so alot of us were blind. It would have helped if we all could have looked at the route before hand, then it wouldn't be so bad on the leader, he'd have backup for directions and help.
A while back I had talked to roger about taking over the NH website, it seemed that there wasn't a great interest in it, the die hards were always here, but after the message boards going down, I took it upon myself to register http://www.nh-vtx.com and am workng on a website for us. My hope is to have the general website, with information, links, happenings that people can submit, a photo gallery, and a forum site. I don't expect it to circumvent this forum site, but it could really help in another outage situation, plus it would help us build a contact list of active VTX riders in new hampshire, or close areas that would benefit from notices of rides and events.
I just signed up for it, so it's still in it's infancy, but if anyone has any suggestions or input, go ahead and start another thread or pm me on here. Or if you want to contact me directly, it's pttc99@yahoo.com or you can email at the new address btalon@nh-vtx.com - if anyone else wants a nh-vtx email address, let me know I can add you, it says I have unlimited addresses, you need a pop3 or imap system to read the mail, I use outlook express, easy enough.

Glad to see so many of the people in here. I cannot believe so many turned out, it was impressive to see from the back. Who cares about wrong turns it was still fun, nothing like a little adventure. Couple of us are talking about lowell bike night during bike week if anyone is interested. I am off all of bike week too if anybody wants to ride let me know

Paul,
How much server space do you have? You sound like me....I recently grabbed 1 and a half terabytes of storage on a server. Right now I'm doing simple galleries, but I was also considering setting up a board. Sounds like you got the bull by the horns. Are you considering using phpBB as you forum software? I believe that is what is being used by VTXOA.

Jeff,
I'm off for bike week too and I was definitely considering Lowell Bike night. Count me in. Hopefully we can get a "few" more of the boys involved.

Great times all!
It's always cool to put faces and personalities (Capt.Danbo ;)) to the posters you read.
What was amazing is that we didn't see much of any precip on our ride back north.
Looking forward to the next adventure...
Oh yea, as soon as I figure how to download pics to my personal confuser, I'll post them or send them to CaptDanbo.
Ride safe,

Wow! Here it is Wed morning. I finally made it home after making a few more wrong turns. Thank God I had enough cargo nets and bungie cords to tie Liz down to the backrest while she slept. She was really getting tired after 2 days of roaming the backroads.

Thanks Duck, but this time I took the correct turn. A guy from Manchester was gassing up in front of me at the Irving station. We were talking about scenic routes. He directed me to take the first left after the highway and then another left at the 1st stop sign. That put us right on 132.

As I said.....my pics would be up on Wednesday. Here they are....oh the soundtrack from Hannah Montana is from another Gallery I did. I din't have time to change it. Just click the little speaker in the upper corner of the gallery to mute it.

Not a problem Ken....I've got about 15 terabytes of bandwidth. Should be able to handle the traffic. It is actually a good thing as I wanted to see some numbers on traffic flow anyways. Don't worry about the soundtrack. I'll change it when Steve gets me his pics tomorrow and I add them to the gallery.

Ok....got Plum's pics up on the gallery. They are low resolution, so they may be a little pixelated. As you can see from my post, the link to the gallery is now in my Signature. No need to put it up every time I post.
Plum.....I PM'd you about the pics.

Well.....I've made a couple of changes to the gallery. I managed to use Photoshop to get Plum's pics up to a higher resolution. They sharpened up quite a bit and are not so pixelated. So.....Plum.....if you chime in.....don't worry about sending the pics. They actually look great as they are. I also added a few more tunes to the background track. I'm still waiting for more pics!! I'm having a good time getting to play with some of my software. Next best thing to riding.

Oakala,
I heard from Steve that people wanted to download pics. They cannot be downloaded from the gallery directly as it runs Flash and pretty much is locked by default. Oh, if I only had time to learn Flash.
So, for you and anyone else that may want to download the pics, I put up a link that will take you to an index of the directory of the full resolution pics. You will have to do it manually though. Simply go to the index, by clicking the link below, go to the appropriate sub-directory, click on the image (I assume you wrote the numbers down from the gallery) and once the image is up, you can right click and choose "save picture as" from the menu. I may go to a different gallery at some point, but I like this one for all around viewability. On Future rides I'll try to get the gallery up AND a directory with full res pics. Like btalon, I too am working on a backup board for when VTXOA goes down.
