Hey guys......I'm starting to think we should re-plan the M&G?! I've been watching the weather everyday for the past week and it's not looking good! We have rain in our forcast everyday this week and in to the weekend.
You guys tell me your thoughts, but for those of you who are camping out in a tent, it could be a miserable couple days for you. I keep wishing that the forcast will change the later we get in to the week, but it seems to be getting worse. I told my wife, if I want to sit inside and watch the rain, I can do that from home.....no need to sit in a cabin and not be able to enjoy my camping trip (light a fire....grill, etc..)!!
So yeah,.....I will have to loose one night of my cabin if I cancel, not sure what the cancelation policy on the tent sites are, but I would think it should'nt be to bad of a hit............lets hear your thoughts, most inmportant, those of you that are traveling.....I don't want this to be a wasted trip for you.

I know it says only a 20% on Sat, but they are anticipating some pretty bad thunder storms Sat. night.......
I can start throwing somthing together for maybe around mid July?.....I will make sure to throw out a handfull of dates to make sure the date works for the majority of us. I know that camping at the same place will probably be out, but I can get the ball rolling on something a bit different and see what you guys think.......this is if we decide to re-plan of course.
My father was diagnosed with cancer in Jan. and I'm actually planning an all day event at a local bar.....a "fund raiser" if you will, I haven't got the date picked out yet, but maybe we could plan it around this? I am trying to get a couple bands from the area and another guy is setting up an afternoon dart tournament. The music will be outside and we are pretty close to downtown, so there would be a lot of bars/things to do?? Let me know what you guys think of this, maybe I can kill two birds with one stone.........( I'd like to invite all of you to this even regardless, I'll be sure to post details as I get them)
Ok, I'm going to cancel our motel room so I don't get charged. If the weather report changes in the next day and it looks like the meet is still on I'm sure we can find a room somewhere. We actually only had 3 of us coming because some backed out.
I will keep on eye on the Board for any updates on this or future meets.
This is a drag. Talk to you guys soon.

Yeah, I hear you Lance......I've put a lot of work in to this thing and to see it all washed away by the rain, that sucks!!! I will for sure keep a close eye on the forcast, if it looks like it may turn around, I'll let you all know. Please, if you could Lance, pass the word on to your MN crue and let them know the scoop. Like mentioned before, I will start planning for the re-schedule and let you guys know the plan.
Jason
Lance, pass the word on to your MN crue and let them know the scoop. Jason

while this does suck,I could use the time at home on Saturday!!!I will be moving to Rapid City in Sept and have a lot of unfinished projects here that I need to work on.So,if we ride....I'm cool with that and if we don't.....I'm cool with that.
Jason, hope your Dad is doing ok,and a "Poker Run" type Fundraiser is always a good idea.

I like the idea of rescheduling. Sleeping in a tent when its storming is awfull. Will watch the site for when you reschedule

Too bad the weather isn't going to cooperate. Let us MN guys know when you decide to reschedule - I haven't been out to SD in years and would love to go check out some of those roads sometime. :blkc:

Sounds good everyone, I will get back to the drawing board and try to figure out what the next move is.
Ted, have you ever set up a poker run, or know how to for that matter? I'd be willing to do that for sure but don't know how to even get started? Any help/Input would be great!!
Sorry again guys, wish this Damn weather would turn around, but watching the news again this morning, It's not looking any better :?

Jason,I don't.But my Friend owns Fresh Horses, and I'm sure I could ask him. They always leave from there.I've always wanted to have one to benefit the MS Society.
Maybe we can learn together.
