Has anyone rode the Dragon at Deals Gap? We're taking a trip to the Smokey Mountains end of June.

The Dragon is cool, but there are many many awesome rides to take in the area.

Riding the Gap is a must do. It is the most overridden and overcrowded road in America now, but it is still a must do. It is best ridden kinda early in the morning, especially on weekends. Just watch the dew on the ground. Don't try to set the new speed record, you can't do it. Take your time enjoy the view. Stay to your right and don't freak when 10 Gixxers pass you in a turn going 3 times as fast as you can or think anyone could. You will enjoy it much more this way.
One of the best ways up to Robbinsville is Cleveland,tn to Ducktown,Tn to Tellico Plains , then on to Robbinsville via the Cherohala Skyway. It is as or more beautiful than the gap. I look forwward to riding along the Okoee on the trip up. We went 2 weekends ago with 19 other VTXers and it is AWESOME. We met in SC and rode the Smoky Mountain Highway to Maggie Valley. The next day was the Gap, Dragon, Foothills Parkway, then back through the park back to Maggie Valley. The next day was Cherahola Skyway.

Anyone going to the Hoot next week? I will be heading up through the Gap and the Dragon Tuesday, then up to Knoxville.
