8) Guys, I've got a route that I think will work as far as timing. Also have card stops in mind.
Will do a Pre-Ride after Church this afternoon. If anyone wants to join me, meet me at the Hammond HD Stealership at 1330. Drop me a PM too! If no one can join me, I won't wait! KSU at 1345

Date of Poker Run will be July 26th. More details and opportunities to get plugged in will be coming soon!

We will also need 5 volunteers to be the Lead of each card pick up point. You will be responsible for getting a team to help you, suppling a table & chairs for your team, a deck of cards, a large ice chest with bottled water, sponsor for the pick up point. We'll include any sponsors on flyers, at their sponsored card pick up point, etc. They can buy the water & ice for your stand! I may be able to get (borrow) pop-up canopies for all the card stops.

This is Bonnie.

I will be happy to handle one of the stops. I have the cards, table and chairs, ice chest, water and canopy. Let me know what I can do to help other than putting Daryl to work. We are going to see EJ in as soon as the flood waters subside.

8) Well I was unsuccessful in the pre-ride today! :(
After running through the second thunderstorm and getting soaked twice and with the lightening flashing in most directions, I called it quits for the sake of my own safety!

OK Miss Bonnie, thanks for being the first to step up to the plate! For that you will get your choice of card stops!

Anyone in the Madisonville area want to check something out for me? There's a place at the intersection of Hwy 22 & the river. (Northwest corner) I'm not sure of the name, but that's one of my hopeful card stops. It will be the #2 stop on the road and card #3.
PM me if you can go by and talk to them!

PM = private message
It's like email but strictly on this forum. Each person posting here has a little "PM" button under their post, click it and it takes you to a little email editor thingy that allows you to message just that person. If you look up at the top left here you see it will say "# new messages", that's where you click to read when people send you messages in return.

Guys:

Have been off-line and off my bike since my surgery early May and just logged back in to see whats up. So very sorry to hear about EJ. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Zeeman, will PM you to see how I can help out. Happy to do it.

In Madisonville, there are two nice restaurants, Friends which is directly on the water (north side of 22) and Mortons, across the street from the river (south side of 22). I believe both are on Water Street. Mortons, is most likely best as it offers an open area at the water front which could be used for bikes and a staging area. Friends, has limited parking or or an area for staging.

The other option there is a honky tonk at the end of Main Street and the river, T Rivers I think they call it but the road down there is really bad and not good for alot of bikes...

Hope this helps.

Peter

8) Hey folks, I've been out in the shop polishing up Sause's 1300 getting it ready for sale!
It cleaned up really well, for an ol' rust bucket! Just kidding, but I did have to use up all of my elbow grease!

Jamie, I will call you tomorrow, but the place I'm talking about is on the corner of Hwy 22 & the river. (North/West) It's basically a bar, although they may have a limited menu, I think!
Parking along the river side under the Oak trees. we would want to set up a canopy/tent there to draw the cards and log them in. Really won't need anything from the place except the OK!

I may have a donation of significant cases of bottled water from my plant. I made the request today, chances are very good, so no one go buy any!!! Well the bottled water donation fell through. I was informed that policy has it that only approved Non-profit org. get donations or surplus. It's stupid, they are going to let the water expire and throw away instead of letting us have it!

Yes Peter, I got your PM and answered you!
