Am wondering if anyone is interested in doing a ride out here.
I am thinking of starting in Alexandria and taking the scenic byway loop to
Fergus falls, Ottertail, Battle Lake and so on.

Just looking for feedback or wich day everyone would prefer (Sat. 28th or Sun. 29th)
Chris I will probably do this. I would need to leave my house at about 8:30am to get up to Alex around 10:30am. It looks like your scenic loop would take about 4 hours if you include gas stops and maybe a food stop and then back to Alex. That puts us city boys back into town around 7pm.
If anyone else wants to do this I can work out a meeting spot and our ride plan up to Alexandria.

I am doing a job on Friday the 27th that needs to be done by the following Monday. Which means if I dont get it done I will probably have to finish it up on the 28th. So...I am in if it works out but I might not know until the night before. The customer I am doing the work for rides so maybe he would understand and be willing to let me finish on the 29th.
The ride looks like it would be awesome!

I work I work I work! The story of my life. I get plenty of days off, just never the ones people are scheduling rides. I'm off the 25, 26, and 27th, but not the 28th or nineth.
Big John and I put on about 250 miles yesterday on a whim. We started working on those Wisconsin Rustic Roads. Knocked out 5 yesterday and might shoot for another 5 next. It has been perfect riding weather! Its long overdue payback for a crappy spring!

We're going to hit Rustic Roads 89 and 92 on our Sconnie Ride this weekend. I was going to include 107, but I hit that a few weeks ago and there were no signs up, plus it is about 7 miles of mostly gravel.

I've been on those before (except 107) but never stopped to take the picture at the numbered sign. I thought John was putting me on when he said we needed to take a picture at each sign in order to get the patch or certificate, but sure enough you do. So I'll have to get pics there. We did 13, 28, 41, 93, and 101.
It turns out I work this Friday night and probably won't get out early. It all depends on how tired I am. If I'm good to go, I'll be there. Just have to wait and see. I will meet up with those guys at the SA at 830 if I do go.

I am open on what time of the morning we start. (whatever works best for you "city" people)
Saturday the 28 will work for me. We can figure out a good place to stop and eat along the way and if anyone is intersted we can make the hike up Inpiration Peak.
I am also working on getting some local people and some Warrior guys together too.

I got 3, 13, 89, 92 and 101. We should plan a date and get the other five for a patch

Go for Saturday then Chris.
Where's a good spot to meet up with you guys and head out? Should we say 11am us city guys will be at that spot gassed up and ready to hit the road? Or did you want to try and leave a little sooner?

Saturday the 28th it is.
Any time before noon is fine with me.
A good meeting spot would be at Big Ole (The giant viking statue at the north end of Broadway)

OK. My odds of going increased today...The customer did say I can stay as late as I want Friday to get finished up and worst case I can finish Sunday. Now I suppose its going to come down to how late I work Friday and how things are going. If I start to run into any serious issues, I will need to work on it Saturday to make sure all is in place Monday morning.
Did you guys want to fly up there on 94? We should probably leave no later than 8:30 to get up there on time and maybe fshirley could pick a meeting spot for us in the northwest metro.
If theres time we can take Hwy 55 on the way back, its a little more scenic.

we ended up canceling the ride. We planned on meeting at 11:00 and it started raining about 10:30 :x
Yep, I drove up there, saw the storm and turned around. It was a nice ride up and back and I didn't get wet.
We'll have to try it again this summer.
