How was the weather down south today? I was in conway all day and it turned nasty for a while, really heavy rain, wind, thunder, lightening - it was really cool. Then the best part was the hail, it was like the size of the big marbles and looked like winter after it came down, the north-south road was covered and the strip by settlers green, ovp and 99, in that area was covered. I saw tons of bikes out braving the rain, the hail had them stop and running for cover, I felt for them watching it.

There were so many leaves that came out of trees and dirt being eroded it clogged drains on the side of the road and water backed up, they ended up shutting the road down near staples and diverting traffic around it briefly until it drained because the water was deep and wasn't safe to drive through.

It was really interesting, hit hard and quick, then rained off and on the rest of the afternoon. Hope you guys had better weather for your ride south.

i was sitting at dunkin donuts when this happen, i saw the bad weather coming and took my bike home just in time. parts of the strip had to have a foot of water and seeing the bikes wading though it was quite a sight.

The weather down south turned out great for our ride down to Lowell last night. It looked like we might get rained out for a while but the weather gods seemed to like us. On the way home we saw some really dark clouds moving in but we managed to get home before any thing came down. Captdanbo had to go a little farther into those things on his way home but I don't know if he ran into any rain before he got off the roads

I managed to make it to Weirs Beach on Tuesday because the sun was out when I woke up. At around 1:30, it definitely looked like we were in trouble. The skies turned black in a hurry. The rain gear went on and we rode through it. This was the kind of rain that caused you pain when you ran through it. All in all though I was glad that I made the trip to the Weirs.

I'm looking up wiring info on my dads bike right now, going to go down and wire it up, put the blockoff plates in, just have it capped right now, change out his risers, have a few beers, then rain or shine we are heading south tomorrow, we'll be a pretty sight, have to deliver a gas tank for a lumina in conway first, then head south - I should get a picture, I'm sure it will be redneck looking when we get it strapped down to the bike - lol!

Now you know why I stayed on the Everett when you got off at exit 7. I figured it was going to be close. I managed to get home without incident. (except for the cloud of bugs I must have went through....Helmet is covered with them)
