Hi folks!

I was wondering if there's anyone in the Spokane area that works on bikes and are cheaper than dealer shop rates. I'd like to replace the front & rear suspension and replace the steering bearings so I can avoid the dreaded steering wobble before it rears its ugly head. I'd like to be able to order the parts online where they'd most likely be cheaper than at the dealer and get some help putting it all on the bike.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave -

I have a friend that lives in Spokane and has owned many Honda bikes over the years. He had a Magna last time I rode with him, but I think he sold it, bought a Shadow 1100, fixed it all up & sold it as well. I heard recently that he helped someone with a 1300R/S put Vance & Hines pipes on and rejet the carb. He's a diesel mechanic by trade but I think he has just about every tool known to man in his garage.

If you'd like, I can give him a call & see if he would be willing to help change springs/shocks out and the steering bearings. I'm not sure what he would charge to do this since I think he just works on friends bikes on the side here and there. Anyway, I can call him and see.

I would also highly recommend Jon up in Everett (Jons1800VTXC) for the work that you need done. I know it's a long trip, but if you coordinate with him you could probably get it done in a weekend.

Dave~

Dave - I am in the Valley area and generally try to do all the work on my own scoot. The rear suspension wouldn't be a problem and I may be up to helping you tackle the front suspension and bearings too. There are awesome directions from the gurus around here on how to do just about anything. Shoot me a pm and we can get in touch and at least try to get together for a ride sometime. Erik
