There are three of us that ride together all the time here in Owensboro. I'm ndavtx (Mike) '02 1800C. There's Zeke (Mike) '02 1800C. Rufus (Rufus) '03 1300RS.
Zeke was actually the first to have one. We even let a Kaw 2000 ride with us and a dresser Harley. Will be headed to Sparta for the truck race tomorrow mornin. Give me a holler if somethin "ride" comes up!!

Hi guys, I am an X rider. I have a 2004 VTX 1300R, my hubby has a 2002 VTX 1800R. Both are Candy Red. I am glad to see that KY is now on the FORUM! ('bout time). I am in the Louisville area. Let me know if any of you are going to Honda Homecoming. We are planning on heading that way July 28th. I hear there may be a VTX Ride In on Sat July 31. Monty from Ohio is going to keep me posted on this event.

Ride safe,

I work every weekend 48 hr shift (sat morning til mon morning) this makes it hard to find rides to go on. If anyone is interested in hooking up let me know, can do longer rides on Wed Thur and Fri.

You ever ride down around the Red River Gorge? Wonderful riding and not too far from either of us. I like riding the Gorge and camping at The Natural Bridge. Makes for a very good couple of days.

Hello fellow VTX Loving Kentucky Peoples! I'm a newbie!

Grew up riding but havent had a bike in several years. Sat here for the last couple years watching all of those great looking VTX's run up and down my road and couldnt stand it any longer. Was surfing eBay and happened upon a feller in Columbia MOzurrreee who just happened to be selling New 03 1800c's for under 7k.

That did it for me and soon as they prep it and add a few goodies I'll be road tripping to bring my new child home to London. If you see a madman headed  east with a big smile on his face.. that would be me on my way back

I have an 04 Retro here in N. KY (near Cincinnati)...The wife has an 01 750 Spirit and we make several trips a year and some good old fashioned pick up rides with some of our friends. In the spring, we usually wind up in the Smokeys (always with the obligitory run through Deals Gap...the wife just eats it up) and we always make a fall run to a covered bridge festival in Western Indiana (originally from that area) and ride some pretty windy roads and across a ton of covered bridges (most still in use daily)...other than that we make several short rides (500 - 700 miles) for a day ride around the block.

Anyway, I've been riding for almost 35 years and the wife has had her own ride now for 25 years. Our grandkids think it is pretty cool...

Hope you don't mind a "Buckeye" posting on the KY board! I was born a "Briar" though in Covington. I am 9 miles north of the Ohio river in beautiful Batavia, Ohio. I am the second officer of the Greater Cincinnati/NORTHERN Kentucky chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. I am also the area coordinator for the Southwest Ohio X Riders. I know, WOOHOO!!!
This is an open invitation for any of you in the immediate area to join us Southern Cruisers for some rides. Join us if you like, we just had a real nice ride today down KY 17, then down 22 on into Warsaw via 1942, 127 and 42, then back up 42 to home. Go to www.southerncruisers.net (http://www.southerncruisers.net) for a membership application.

Hi Monty, Glad to see you are inviting us to ride with you! That is great. I would love to join you guys if I could. I know HWY 22 and 42 very well! Also if you ride along the river on HWY 42 near Ghent, you can cross the river and go to Belterra Casino for dinner. Hmmm, sounds like a great place to meet up for a ride!
Monty, I hope to meet you at Homecoming.

Add us to the list too. We just picked up our Black '05 1300R last night from Abernathy's in Union City. A little cool coming home but the awesome ride more than made up for that. We put on a set of Cobra classics and stayed up last night doing the finishing modification to the sound. My neighbors will be proud! :D

Anyway, we are in Hopkinsville and want to say hello to all.

I live in Northern KY, about 15 miles south of Cincinnati and 10 miles away from the Famous town of "Rabbit Hash". For those of you who don't know about "Rabbit Hash", its one of the most scenic and twistie bike rides in KY that draws tons of bikers at the Oldest and longest running business in the country, the "Rabbit Hash General Store".. The store dates back to the 1800's and has never closed its doors for anything than usual days off. It is a biker attraction and a very biker friendly. I have alot of other bikes aned just added a Blue 04 1300 S to my collection. I wasn't even looking for a VTX, but a deal came up in Louisville on E-Bay on a wrecked VTX with minimal damage so I jumped on it. I've ridden it about 10 miles so far and like it. So far I've added a Memphis Shade, Ultimate X seat,Hondaline Saddle Bags, and a few other small items. I usually hit the local shows with my custom SuperMagna and always hit the local rides like, "Spring Fling", Mach of Dimes Ride" "Octoberfest Ride" and any other ride that is convient to my schedule. Glad to jump on board.

Hi Hulio! Welcome to the family of X riders.

Last year our rider's club rode to Rabbit Hash! Very nice ride. By the way who was elected Mayor? The Jack Russel Terrier, or the pig? That town is so laid back. There is a dog and a cat that stay on the porch of the General Store. Very interesting place, worth the trip to see the Gen. Store. What a treasure that place is.

Hope you enjoy your X!

Its a pretty popular place. When I was at the Louisville Honda dealer off of 9th street they had pics from a ride they took there last year. No matter what day of the week you go, there is ALWAYS bikes in the lot. Its right on the river. The place has been underwater numerous times. If you or anybody else ever heads up this way give me a shout. Heres a pic I took if this works.

I didn't keep up with the election. It made nation news. It actually made it to "Good Morning America". The town was for sale for $400,000. When the National Historical Society heard it was for sale and being the oldest store in the country the snatched it up. I think they gave $250,000 for that lil corner with the 5 surrounding buildings.

And thanks for the friendly welcome.

KEWL. When I bought my bike 2 months ago I seen the pics and asked the guys at the parts counter about the ride. They didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. I knew somebody besides the dealer had to organize that ride. Do you and your hubby ever ride up to the KY Speedway for the "March of Dimes Ride for Babies"??? I know every year the Louisville Chapter rides up for the ride. You'd think that as popular as the "March Of Dimes Ride" has become that they (Honda) would have some kind of representation there. Its all "Big Dog" and a few other chopper shops.

Next time the ride comes up, we need to get something togather and have a mini VTX meet at the Speedway and then head to Rabbit Hash. Its only 25 miles from the Speedway and as you know has some very scenic roads. Just a thought.

I hope I get to ride up there this year. I am not too far from the speedway, Just hop on 71 and I in no time I am there.

The guys at Station Park don't get to ride with the group because most of the rides are on Sat mornings and they have to work. Good thing I am off on Saturdays.

There are times that I just get on my bike and take a ride alone. Hubby rides on his days off. This cold weather is giving me cabin fever. Can't wait till it gets warmer.

Keep me posted on rides in your area. And I will do that same for you. Not sure where the March ride is going to take us yet. But I will let you know.

Country Girl, please add me to your list. I ride a 2003 1300S (candy apple red, of course!) My husband rides a 2004 1300C (orange). We are in the LaGrange area.

We are planning to take part in the VTX ride-in at the Honda Homecoming. We're also members of the Station Park HRCA.

We do quite a bit of out-of-town work in our jobs, so we don't always get to participate in scheduled events, but we're always there in spirit!

Hello folks, what a great group! Brand new 05 1300 Retro here. 370 miles so far. Picked it up last Friday. Met Country Girl at Hooters Dixie Hwy on Tuesday. She is the epitomy of a VTX rider!

I tried to email the head Kentucky contact on the list somewhere on this site to ask about Kentucky/VTX patches I saw Country Girl wearing, but the message came back undeliverable. Can someone give me a current email address to the right person to order some of those cool patches?

Live in Pleasure Ridge Park, really close to the Hooters on Dixe. If anyone wants to do some riding, let me know.

Had a Sportster before this, and now I have something to compare to. There is no comparison. The 1300 rides like a Cadillac!

Saddlemen bags and Memphis Fats windshield ordered.

Ride on

Hi Gary! Thanks for the compliment! I love my X! You are right, they run like a Caddy!

I will get in touch with G$ about the patches. I do have an extra one. Let me know if you want it.

Last night we went to a Southern Cruisers meeting in Shively. We did not ride bikes because they were calling for rain. We met @ Ryan's Steak House. Did not make it to Texas Roadhouse for bike night. When we passed by there, we did not see any bikes. Guess it got rained out.

I would like to make it to another bike night, maybe we will see you there!

Another KY rider to add to your list. Out of Rineyville- 05 Titanium 1300C. Wife is riding too, but she has a 750 Spirit, would have gotten her a VTX, but she felt it was a bit too big for her. Anyway, hope to meet you all someday.

RobertWelcome to the VTXOA Family! I added your name to the list. Read the KY and IN for upcoming rides! We are having one today!

Ride Safe,
Cheryl
