I have been on this site on and off for bout 2 years this the first time i have typed up anything. I live in Travelers Rest sc and was wndering if to be a Xrider member what was required of me. I ride a 06 1300c. I have mostly christian friends that I ride with and sometimes we look for other to go on maybe a days ride or something. Im not very computer savy but I try. While I'm thinking bout it I have a Memphis Slim 17" windsheild for sale Im tryingto get my money back out of it I went ahead and got the fats sheild o replace it. I only had it on for a week so if anyone is interested in buying it contact me at MLS92472@aol.com. I would prefer that someone come and buy it or I could maybe meet you. Asking price is $120 thats what I paid for it. It does not have the mounting brackets for it so you would have to purchase those according to your bike. Thanks hope to hear from someone. Mike Smart

Requirements to be an X Riders:
1. Wave when you pass a fellow biker, one htat takes his or her life in their own hands daily
2. Say hi once in a while here when possible
3. Stop and offer to help a biker on the side of the road, you meet the nicest people that way. You may be that people one day.
4. Be honest about everythign you are, no one will buy or sell anything from a dishonest person.
this is just my opinion, but be straight up with people in the Carolinas and they will most often respect you for it. No one is perfect.
Ride safe and often

If thats all it takes then sign me up! I try to live by the motto that you do unto people as you would have them do to you.

Welcome to being a carolinaXrider, I "belong" and don't even ride an X (It's a Honda Sabre), I have some great riding buddies that rides X's  , and my bike is part VTX.
You will probably have better luck selling your windshield in the for sale section.

Thanks for the advice. By the way where did you get the rear fender for your bike that is awsome!

It's actually a VTX1800N rear fender that I got off of ebay from a trike shop brand new. A day or two ago there was one for sale on here. I had to make some modifications to make it fit on the Sabre, but I don't think you would with the 1300.

Hi all,
I have lurked a while and finally joined the list though I don't have a bike - yet! I suppose I live vicariously through others. I have ridden a lot - and never fell off! Now that I've had surgery and carpal tunnel isn't an issue, I am considering my options.
Mike - your post made me think that maybe I should ask...
"Can a gal without a saddle watch from the sidelines?"

Well let me say if your Southern Scenery looks anything like your avatar, you shouldn't have a problem finding a guy with a bike that will let you hold on to him!

Thanks Bruce - always good to meet folks from the area. And Nightfire - as for my avatar - I don't think I've ever seen anyone with a waist like that! There was a time I could have come close to pulling off that look but time is not my friend. I have my faults but I also have my attributes
