Hi Jim, welcome to the family of 'X' riders. Sure hope you can make it to The Honda Homecoming this year. If you have never been before it is worth the trip.

Cheryl

There is a guy on the general forum who does an exchange program, i believe it is $700 and u send him your old rims. He sends them out immediately no waiting. I think the price is right. Ill find the web addy for ya.

Which dealer did you buy from? Just curious, I have dealt with both and have my favorite.

I went with Transport. I had been in a few times when I was deciding which bike. I had narrowed the selection down to a Vulcan 1600 Classic at Hayden's and the 13C. I wasn't sure which dealer I was going to purchase through because I had heard stories from varying dealers. I did have a friend who also owned an 04 13C and he praised Prestonsberg. I went back to Transport and struck up a conversation with Jason, the General manager and talked of the deal Prestonsberg worked up for a couple buddies of mine and he began to work with me, on very level ground. It was sealed when I walked around a corner and they had just wheeled out the first of the 2005's and it was Titanium in color. No sales pressure at all, the deal was as good as any I could have found outside of Lexington, I feel as if they will be fair on service, and all of the people I have come into contact with are extremely helpful and pleasant and more than willing to go the extra steps to make stuff happen. I am glad I chose them.

Like I said I was just curious, I have dealt with them and Bell's in G'town, and I prefer Bell's. Just feel more comfortable with them. Hope you enjoy your new ride. ALL of us Lexington area riders will have to get together for a ride. In light of the tragic news about your friend who was killed, maybe we need to organize a benefit ride for his family. If we do count me in.
Take Care
