Just bought my X. 2003 1800 C Pretty much stock, but oh so fun. My wife likes riding, so we have a new adventure. Live in south Naperville. I have two others at my work that own and 1800 and a 1300. We are all looking to do some rides. Old farts R us, two just turned 50 and the old guy is 54. TWT sounds like a good time. I'll watch the boards.

Hey Larry, a big welcome for you & your buds to the best VTX board around!!! Stock 1300C you say? Well not to worry, the more ya hang out with us  you'll soon contract what most of us here on the board are ill-stricken with a horrible uncurable condition called, "Upgrade Disease". Just like that flesh-eating disease you've heard of, this one originates in your back pocket and slowly eats away at your wallet seeking to quench its' huge appetite for green colored paper! Anyhow, welcome once again and hope you don't fall victim to the above mentioned health hazard!   8)

Thanks for the welcome! I feel all fuzzy inside. The wife and I are at the stage where the kids are grown, bills are paid, and the dog is dead. Ready to ride.

Newb question,
Leather or Cordura? Looking for jackets for riding. Went to Leatherup.com and there are all sorts of things I can spend money on.
Larry
One of each! Depending on weather you may want to switch jackets. Can never have too many of them! Welcome to the fun house!

Roger, concur. We practice Aloha Friday's at work, but when I leave for work at sun up, the wind frosts up my floral print.
Always good to see some new people.
Welcome to you and your buddies
