Who wants to ride the back roads to ......no where special but peace and quiet? No GPS's until we need gas or really lost. LOL!!!
Early Start. Kick Stands up 9:00 AM Starbucks Army tr. & 59.
Saturday ride will be or North West to Freeport then North into WI. Maybe a stop on the way home at Doyle's depending on how hot or tired we are.

Sunday: Oregon IL. It's only 32 miles but head west young man!

Sunday: Buffet 8am – 2pm
From there to Byron for some refreshments then back road home.

OK, Mark posted up for Saturday, and I get promoted for Sunday to get the group out to White Pines, which looks like a straight shot out Rt 64 from me in St Chuck. Sooooo;

Stands up at 9am, St Charles Bowling Alley Sunday Morning

Bowling alley is on Rt 64/North Ave 2 blocks West of Randal Road on the North side of North Ave. This should get up to White Pines around 10 am for the Brunch and then Merridian will be taking the ride from there.

Sorry, but my shoes end at the White Pines. My son has been sick since Friday night fighting a fever and has been up on and off the last 2 nights. So, after breakfast, I'm heading back to help with him as I was out all day yesterday on the bike. Not too fair to my wife to leave her with him both days while he's not feeling well and crabby :(

So, I'll get us there where we're close to the Rock River and that's a nice ride going north 8)

I was great riding with spike and the crew. The southsiders enjoyed it very much. I thought the breakfast was great at whitepines. I give ashely and a+ for that one. 64 west was a nice road to take to get to oregon.

After leaving the group, I took 2 south along the rock river which was very nice also. BUT, there was one small problem. We were under the impression that 2 south would run you into I88...ok no problem. WE take 2 south to Dixon...ok, no i88. We stay south on 2 and we say to ourselves, "we should have hit I88 already". We stay on 2 until we hit 88 in rock falls, ill. Which is way the hell west. When your on a bike, its ok to take the LONG way home :wink: . Next time if I'm in the oregon area, I will take 2 south again to Dixon, BUT, I will pick up 26 south to 88. :wink:

Great time yesterday guys, It was nice to meet some new Wivos, can't wait for the next breakfast run....Ashley, you set the bar very high with that recommendation.......ride safe guys.

I left after brunch and went straight home. When I got hom at around 2, I just got comfortable and Cian wakes up from his nap. Because his throat was so sore from his virus, he cried for the next 90 minutes :?
It was a rough afternoon after that to be sure. If I had stayed out to play and left Marianne to that all alone :shock:

Good news is, he slept all night and woke up this morning bright, cheery and happy without the soreness and fever he has had the last 2 days

Sorry about the miss - information on RT.2 connecting
with I-88 :oops:. We don't go that way verry offen & I fogot that you have to turn off at Dixon to connect with the toll road. After I started using the GPS I don't carry a map any more (I'll put on the bike for next time).
If your interested we are going to try & head out for breakfast then on to Amboy (south east of Dixon, Il.) Sunday for their car show.
I think VTXTom posted it on a different string.
We had a GREAT time riding with everyone Sunday! :D
The breakfast was good a usual @ the White Pines. :chef3:

We got a couple years for me to get in shape for gettinga new off-road bike for me and Cian. Marianne already said that was OK, she doesn't mind off-road riding, it's the bad car drivers that scare her :wink:
