Thumbnail so far for trip is
3-4 days to Sturgis- NO major highways if possible.
# of days in/around Sturgis to be determined by how I/we feel about the area.
Figuring on then heading south and then who knows. Looking at 3- 5 weeks on the road.
May be meeting a bud from the Boston area at Sturgis and then doing some sort of a loop through the eastern part of the country - again avoiding the slab. Want so see a little of what is left of the USA.

Yea Sam, it was a nice time. We got to Sturgis on a Sat. night (We had a hotel in Rapid City for 2 nights) 25 miles from Sturgis and 25 from Mt. Rushmore... Right in the middle. We rode 100 miles on I-90 the whole trip there, the rest was thru Lolo Pass, the Tetons, Yellowstone, Cody,Buffalo, Custard and into Rapid City by way of Hwy 16... I would have liked one more day to ride to the Badlands and see more of the Black Hills... Just a memorable ride, totally! Ed1947
