Hey, who's up for a poker run next month??? The wife and I are going, along with a few friends and maybe my brother who is a new VTX owner as of yesterday.

I don't know the route, but it starts and ends at Fresh Horses in Harrisburg. It would be cool to meet up with a few locals from the board. Let me know if you can make it. :beer3:

I am playing it by ear, if the weather looks good, I will take the day off of work and ride. Riding days are getting closer and closer to being over. :(

Here's the stops: Fresh Horses in Harrisburg, Big Ern's in Crooks, Norby's in Dell Rapids, South Bar in Hartford and the Broadwater on Lake Madison and back to the Horses.

Whether I go or not will depend on the weather as well. HOWEVER, you get this mighty fine t-shirt if you pre-register by Sept 18.

It's not a priority, but if I get time I'll pre-register. You can never have too many shop rags.

My wife and I, along with my brother and neighbor plan to head to the Fresh horses at noon. Is your wife still going? Our neighbor is a new rider also - we'll keep the pace nice and easy.

Weather forecast still looks good. Sunny and 80 degrees!!!

Ok, we will be there by noon also. Yep, wife is going, she got her m/c endorsement yesterday and then went riding last nite while I was at work! My usual pace is furious I guess you could say, we'll see how it works out on Saturday, maybe we'll get a chance to rip up a few miles anyway.

Yea, I like to get after it every now and then, but I'll have the speed regulator on the back seat.
My ribs tend to get sore if I twist the throttle too hard. The wife sure does pack a punch.

LOL!
What do your brother and neighbor have for scooters? I have 2 Harley buddies I ride with alot that may come  Their real good guys but one of them is HD HD HD HD HD HD everything, if he does come along, I am going to have to race him and get it over with, it has been two years of listening to his BS. I try to be nice and not make comments back but as my wife would tell you, I have about had enough. Oh man, I got stories..........

My bro has a 1987 Honda Super Magna. It's a pretty cool ride. Neighbor has a Suzuki 800 Intruder. Her husband has a vtx, but he's in Iraq til the end of the month. I've got another brother who just got a vtx, but I think he's working on Sat. Also invided 1 HD dude, but haven't heard back from him.

Who else on here is going? Itallica? Speak up! :beer2:

Awesome year for the Magna! Love those things, I had a 1982 V45 back in the day. It would still be a rocket ship today. Best looking ones are around that 1987 era I think. Tell your bro to take the day off, I did.............

Poker run was fun, weather was great! However, there was a loss of life on this day near Dell Rapids...................

luckily it was just a pheasant that hit got by 2 of the gals in our little group!

Poker run was fun! I still can't believe how many bikes were there. 450+ people bought a chance to win.

I tried to get some pics from the "Pheasant Killer", but I think she's hiding from PETA at the moment. I'll try to throw a couple on here later.

Rick, that scared me.I just saw loss of life first time.I saw a 'sicle pull into the side of a car as they were leaving Baltic Corner last year...that's why I won't ride without a helmet now.Sickening.Glad it was just a bird!!!
