Great Ride in WV Last Weekend

I rode through WV for the first time last weekend, and what a great ride it was! :D The 75 miles taking 250 to 7 from Moundsville to Morgantown was by far my favorite section.

If the rest of your state is anything like that little piece, I'll definitely be back! Much more fun, hilly and twisty than the flatland of Illinois. These are some of the best roads I've ever ridden.

Next time you come by take 250 out of Moundsville and stay on it all the way to Davis it is really a great ride I ride this at least once a year and it is great .I live in Moundsville if you come thru again post it and maybe we can hook up and ride it together

Sounds great. Looks like a fantastic half-day ride. Spending a few days exploring more in that area is definitely on my to-do list. I'll reach out when it happens...

Hey dale88fan, I wish I'd know you are in Moundsville. A group of us (17 bikes) rode down from Canada and stayed at Grand Vue Park in the cabins for a week in June. You must have heard or seen us; we were around in groups of 3 or more bikes. We had a great time in the area and especially riding the 250 from Moundsville; one of the best rides some of us have ever done. We liked it so much, we've already booked into Grandvue for next June 21 - 28.
If you don't mind, I'll post something next summer and hopefully we can get together and you can show us around.

I got reading my posts and I thought I'd better clear up something, our group this year and next aren't all VTX's but we're all Southern Cruisers. I have an X, as do a couple others who will be there next summer. I didn't want to to give you the impression that we are all on X's.

if you liked rt 7 next time you ride down this way about half way theres a road that goes to Mannington. take that, even sweeter than 7 with a turn that if you don't take at around 10mph you won't make it. when you get into Mannington you can then take 250 on to Fairmont and then Morgantown. very nice ride.
