Hey guys! My name is Jagger Naves. I am the C.E.O of Earth Shaking Entertainment and crew member on the Shooting Star NHRA / IHRA Alcohol Funny Car of Shooting Star Motorsports. Shooting Star Motorsports is a family owned and operated drag racing team based out of Salisbury North Carolina that has been running in the professional ranks for more then 22 years! My father, Billy Naves started his racing career in Gloucester Massachusetts and then moved our family to Salisbury in 1996. I graduated from West Rowan in 1998, met my beautiful wife Jennifer and now have a beautiful 3 year old son Jaidyn. Not only am I involved in the drag racing aspect of my families life but I also patrol the West side of the county as a full time Rowan County Deputy Sheriff. Possibly the greatest job on the planet! The reason I am contacting you today is in reference to some basic paint work. Last month during the inaugural Nationals at the Concord Z Max Drag strip ( greatest drag strip in the U.S.A) my father went head to head with the corporate sponsored teams to attempt to qualify for this memorable race. And qualify we did! On the 3rd and final round of qualification, my father ran the 1/4 mile in 6.10 seconds at 232 M.P.H. We made the big show even though we are an under funded team. We have no corporate sponsors and my father works full time as a mechanic. After passing the finish line, the parachutes failed to deploy and the carbon brakes were then covered in oil and did not engage. My father hit the catch net at a high rate of speed flipping the 3,000 horsepower vehicle on its roof. We were unable to compete during eliminations due to the damage we sustained. We still had a great time that weekend and the following week found a used Firebird body in Alabama that we picked up. This body is nice, but it has one of the worst paint jobs I have ever seen! What I am looking for now is a shop that is willing to paint the body, one solid color ( preferably a silver) in return for a spot on our 240 M.P.H billboard during the entire 2009 season. This team travels up and down the east coast running numerous divisional races, National events including Rockingham and Concord, as well as match races that are booked through my company Earth Shaking Entertainment. In 2007 our team was on ESPN 2 twice for qualifying for National Events in Florida and in Georgia. A spot on the hood or rear quarter panel can cost as much as $20,000 per year. We are trying to stay with a local shop for the convenience, and give a local business the opportunity to come on board with a high caliber Drag Racing team. If this is something that you would be interested in, simply trading your services for ours, I would love to hear from you. I will forward pictures of the body we were running and the current body that we need painted. We are looking for a thin coat of primer and a thin quality coat of paint plus clear. We need to keep the body as light as possible. Check out Earth Shaking Entertainment's Myspace page. Thank you in advance for your time and I hope to hear from you soon! hey Jagger, give me a buzz. If there were a way to swing it, I'd spray it if you guys covered the basic materials cost and handled some of the prep, with my supervision. We'd need a place to spray it, I could possibly arrange something, but the places I have in mind would want some $$$ :( Looks like a fun project, if there's any way I can help you out I will 8)

If I were rich I'd just take off a week and come up there and hook you up for free, but I'm broker than broke as of right now.... :(

Hey guys!

I inked a deal with a company out of Raliegh who is going to paint the body for FREE in return for an advertising spot for the entire 09' season. Could not have come at a better time. We went to the World Finals in Rockingham and ran our best ET ever at 5.98 seconds at only 227 M.P.H! Great weekend and the car actually looks kinda cool in the pics!

Oh yeah! BDS Cycles ROCKS! Thanks guys, always looking out for a brother!

Hey man, the chassis is 124" long, I am noty sure on the body length though, I would have to ask dad. I think we are looking at the rear quarter panel. That normally goes for about $20,000 a year on a larger team but we really just don't have the $ to paint the body our selves. This deal will be good for the 09' season. They will strip, prep then paint her up. PM me and let me know what you two were working on. We paln on getting a new body at the end of 09'. And you never know about these deals, they have been known to fall through. We will also be posting all sponsors logo's and info on our myspace page for advertising.
