I dunno -- the world (and esp. Boston) waited almost a century for them to win a World Series. Now in the last 5 or so years they've won a few and otherwise have been deep in post-season every year. Ho-hum. I've been to Fenway a number of times and love the Sox but as boring as it may be it's time to let the Rays have a chance at the Series. Up at 3 games to 1 I'd normally say they can't blow it but the Sox are certainly no strangers tot he Big Comeback.

Can't Superman reverse-orbit around the Earth and bring us back to a few weeks ago so the CUBS can get to the World Series...?

It's great to see the Phil's back in. I have been a huge fan since 1980 (Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose, Steve Carlton).

I think that they have the best batting lineups without a huge name and a very good pitching staff. I think that we can match up against either of the 2 AL teams, but I am worried about the time off until next week.

they will print & ship out as soon as the ray's trounce the bo-sox!
This will be our 2nd time going to a WS game & the wife just told me
we are taking the new truck so we can tail gate.

You got selfish a-holes like him and then you have guys like the Colorado football player that gave up his finger in order to play the game he loves one more year. Local sports radio out here in L.A. has been saying Manny really likes L.A., his Dodger teammates, and the Coaches. It's really a different vibe out here from a sports perspective. The Dodger fans just went crazy for his ass out here too (and egos like to be fed). I don't remember seeing that kind of fan admiration from Dodger fans since Kofax and Gibson.

But, you know the Yankees and Mets are gonna throw a kazillion dollars at him. The Dodgers just won't offer him the kinda money the N.Y. teams will. So, I'll guess we'll just have to see how much he really liked L.A.
