I second ndavtx's vote!!!

I like it a lot! I'd like it even better if it said Rider or Riders where it now says X-Treme. Just one man's opinion. I'd buy it either way.

I agree with Quick, needs to be riders, in place of extreme. Other than that a Big Ol Go as far as I'm concerned 8) :D

Rider it is,

But we cant mass produce and sell it for stickers and shirts.

Rider or Riders? You folks call it. I don't know if you can get into trouble for using it or not. But your more than welcome. If you would like a larger copy, pm with email addy.

I like Riders! Do we get to vote on "Kentucky Riders", "Kentucky Rider" "Bluegrass Riders" or Bluegrass Rider"?

Rocketman

If this is the prototype for the patch, I think the motto/logo should be Bluegrass Riders.

I'm not sure if we can have it produced due to copyright on the V-twin with VTX underneath. I guess I could write Honda an Email, attach the drawing and ask for permission to put it into some form of design???

Wishful thinking!

Rocketman

How bout you send it to Dawg's and let him determine if we can use it for a patch?

I like Riders! Do we get to vote on "Kentucky Riders", "Kentucky Rider" "Bluegrass Riders" or Bluegrass Rider"?

My preference is Kentucky Riders, but I would be more than happy with Bluegrass Riders.

I know part of this design came from other designs: My question is, can we use this design on patches and T shirts? If not, would we not be better off coming up with an original design that is useable whereever we'd like?

Again, just one man's opinion, subject to the will of the majority.

I prefer Kentucky Riders also. Bluegrass makes sound like we are into Blugrass music. Not a bad thing, but I like the Kentucky thing better. But I think we better get some input from Honda on Reg. rights. We could get in a lot of legal trouble. Copyright and so on.

Well that is my opinoin thus far!

That's got my vote!

Can we arch the Kentucky Rider Logo over the top like you had on the original design? Maybe a tad larger font?

I like it a lot... Lot's of class!

At the worst, all Honda can do is say NO!

So I'll be off to another idea. Although, I have seen that design in mulitple uses> V-Twin, VTX

Arched

07-27-2004, 02:08 PM
Cheryl,

I think I agree, I like the arched a bit better. I wish the font could be a bit bigger. All in all it looks pretty darn good!

Arched is my vote. Maybe Riders in a larger font to balance
letter difference.

I am having a stupid attack...how do I get this picture posted?

07-29-2004, 05:47 AM
Cableman,

There are no stupid attacks in these forums....

First you need to have the picture uploaded to the net somewhere. Two free sites available are:

Big Bike Riders Photo Gallery http://bigbikeriders.com/photopost/index.php

Or
Shutterfly
http://www.shutterfly.com/home/signin_newuser.jsp

Once uploaded to the net, right click on the picture and scroll down to properties. Highlight and copy the URL address of your picture.

Now the easy part:

Come back to the forum and open a post. At the top right of your post you will find the post control listed as Img. Click Img and then paste the URL from the picture, followed by clicking the Img button again.

It should look like this:
Your%20URL

You can type anything you want posted before or after the picture and it should show in your post.

Hope that helps.

How about the rest of the gang? What do you guys think?

I like the idea for a state patch, but think the simpler...the better. The California X riders logo is a clean, cool look and easily recognized at rallys.

What about using that design and adding Kentucky across the top and changing the colors around? Wah...La!

or maybe something like this... then there shouldn't be any copyright issues I wouldn't think... not an exact text curve as I hoped, but gets the idea anyway....

Not to knock the design, but isn't it a little cliche' to have a horse as the emblem for Kentucky. I don't know about you, but I get sick of people always associating Horses with Kentucky. I love this state and everything about it, including horses and Churchill Downs, but surely we could use a "meaner" symbol for these awesome bikes than a horse! Just my opinion, I'm not knocking the patch, but maybe something with flames. Please don't kill me, just putting in my 2 cents.

Hello Everyone,
Earlier I said:
"I see everyone is looking for a KY name and emblem.. I like some of the emblems you all are making they look real cool... But the names could use a little help - how about VTX = VELOCITY TO EXTREME , Velocity To eXtreme - just an idea"

I though this would look cool along the bottom...

But after seeing all the work and though that has gone into this work of art I am also happy with the outcome... Great Job Everyone!! :D

First off welcome Julia, to the board, it is very imformative as well as alot of fun.
Second, as far as the patch goes I think it is real close to what we want, and being from Kentucky I think we need to incorporate the horse head into the patch. It is, like it or not, what we are known for nationally as well as world wide. Or we can not include it and use some graphic design thing and be like everyone else. Just my .02
Thx

EdDee,

Sorry for butting in here, did you all ever come up with a patch. I was just wondering because i saw where you wanted to put Velocity To Extreme, on the patch.... That may cause problems since there is a company with that name. Just a warning in case.
