Hey fellow Vtx'rs i need help with these brakes!-- what started out to be a simple pad change on my front brakes has turned into a nightmare. When I pushed the pads back I must have gotten air in the system or something. i could not get the brakes to pump up. They were all mush and barely slowing the bike. I knew soemthing was wrong , so after examining the caliper in action as i applied the brake, I ended up pulling the pistons out of the caliper bercause 1 of the two was trailing the other and was not pumping up. After accidently tearing the seals trying to reassemble, i replaced the ones around the pistons. I reassembled the caliper, bled the brakes and got better brake but caliper still moving and I still had mushy brakes. So i tore the master cylinder down, looked for dirt, cleaned , reassembled and still have mushy brakes.. OHHHHHH --- and i got fluid on the tank which i did not see and now i have a paint job in the future.. All of this to change the pads.. and they still arent right.. I need some help here people.. Any info on this?

You didn't mention if a VTX1800 or VTX1300. The 1800 has linked brakes & part of the front caliper is activated by the rear pedal. The 1800 has 3 pistons though, so I'm assuming you have a 1300. I realized this as I am typing this.
