Here is what I came up with to help members post pictures. Others folks who have figured it out pls help add/edit...

OPTION I
It is actually easier now that we can create albums right here on this board

TO UPLOAD (one time)

Click on Quick Links (available on top right)
From the Networking section, select Pictures & Albums
Click on Add Album
Provide a title and description (optional ) if you want
Hit Submit
Select the Album you just created followed by Click here to upload pictures link
It will open up a window that will allow you to download upto three pictures at a time (check the limitations on size and dimensions)
Once you provide the location, click on upload pictures button
It will show you the picture(s) and you can enter caption if you want
Repeat above steps to download your pics (beware there is a size limit). You can add pics to existing albums or create new albums to categorize your pics.
Note: Add pictures in the reverse order as the one that is added last will be the first one to show up when you display your album. E.g. if you have 5 pics for a particular album, add the 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and then 1st.

To insert pics into your posts

Find your picture using quick links
Scroll down to the BB code and select/copy the text
Now get to your post and just paste it
There might be other easier ways to do it - above works for me
Here is the FAQ as well...
http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachment s

Of course, you can always use the old method of taging the pic url between the img tags like..
[ img ] url here [ /img ] (without the spaces of course)

OPTION II
You can use the album feature of this board to upload and use most commonly required pictures e.g. pics of your mods. HaveMe1 (Johnny) has pointed one more option to directly upload pictures into your post which can be used while replying to a thread (or if you are creating a new one) -

Insert Pics Directly From your Post
Type in your text (as you normally do)
Scroll down to ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
Locate the Attach Files section
Click on the Manage Attachments
This will open the Manage Attachments window that shows all the different types of files you can upload here (yes you can do more than pics).
You now have two options...
Upload directly from your computer

Click on Browse
Locate the said file in your computer

OR Upload file from a URL (This could be used to add file from pic share site like photobucket or flickr)

Copy your URL from your favourate pic hosting site
Paste it into the box under Uplodad File from a URL

Click on the Upload button (ensure the text box is has the file location before you click)
If you have successfully uploaded, it will show your file in the Current Attachmentssection
Click on Close this Window
At this point you should also see the file name in the Attach Files section
Click on Preview Post to ensure it looks like you want
Note: Your pic is displayed as a small thumbnail. This is a very good feature as it does not take space especially for returning folks who have already seen it. Also note that this option will "attach" pics at the bottom. If you need the pic between your text (multiple pics with specific instructions) then best to use the IMG tags.
Thanks HaveMe1 (Johnny)

Hope this Helps :doorag:

Well, it would seem that my previous avatar, which is a picture of my bike, is not meant to be. Regardless of the size I try I receive the message that it is an invalid image. Guess it just doesn't like my bike for some reason. I received the same message when I tried to download the picture in a variety of sizes into an album.
