Hmmmm....when you say Lehigh Tunnel, is that the one on 476 by Palmerton?
If so, I'm due East, and usually consider myself Northern PA. :doorag:

There are many VTX riders in my area. Scup may live in NJ, but he's so close its about the same. There is WantaVTX who lives about 2 minutes from me, a couple of guys in Nazareth. I have met Scup and GreenVTX on a few rides. Maybe these other guys will come out next season.
There was also a lady I met with her VTX in Easton that I gave her the info for joining VTXOA about 2 months ago. Haven't seen her here yet.
They should post the board at dealerships so people can join up and go on group rides if they like. I was riding the X for 3 years before I found the boards.

Not that it has much to do with this post.... but have you ever tried to hold your breath from one end of the tunnel to the other? I can do it easily but my 30 year old daughter cannot. I figure my sleep apnea keeps my body conditioned for a lack of oxygen.
Well I'm working the last 2 weeks in Scranton w/ 1 or 2 more to go... that's north of the tunnel.
Just wished this job happened 2 months ago I woulda brought my bike up here as the customer closes at 4pm:dontknow: so I would have all the time to ride... but NOOOoooo now I sit on a bar stool and WAIT... yes Wait for happy hour to start... WTF? Never had that problem before... always rushing just to make happy hour. Found out a lot of cool history about this area... Scranton used to be the meca for ladies in red and folks from NY/NJ would take the trains up here for some... huh... pleasurable weekends to unwind  Then there this town Old Forge which is the Pizza Capital of the World... so they say.
I will say I'll be taking a bike ride up here next spring/summer and check this area out some more.
And as Hobbit said... rode with a lot of PA riders who ride all over the place and enjoy eachother's company... well at least I enjoy y'alls company

Us here more Southernly VTX riders however do know the difference between "were" and "we're". It's due to all that fancy book learnin' we get in these here parts.

In efforts to reduce overhead costs my company has switched to key sharing program. We all now have only 1/3 of our keyboard buttons, that we have to remove and share with 2 other employees, Unfortunately my ' key was on a business lunch with a guy named Fred
