I have Time Warner Cable (Roadrunner) internet service and just since getting on the new board here I am not getting ANY email notifications, I still get all my other Auto Emails from other sites, Lamont said it isn't on his end maybe your ISP. I called them and they say everything is right with them.
I have 4 subscribed threads set -- instant email , 2 subscribed Boards set-- daily notification and I get nothing. Yesterday I changed my Email to Yahoo no spam filters and still nothing from VTXOA. I think I have looked at every setting here and can not find anything that is set to not get notifications:confused::dontknow::confused: :dontknow: :dontknow::confused:

I have a feeling this problem will be looked at and taken care of. IF I remember right it has happened before. Be patient, LaMont has his hands full at the moment.

OK, go to user cp, go to your email options...there are check boxes to receive PM emails notifications, and thread PM notifications. You have to check the box if you want to get notified.

I wish that were my problem but it is not, All boxes are checked and I turned off all spam filters and still nothing.

Same thing here, but it might be Comcast.net's fault. I am not getting e-mails from either vBulletin boards I am on, and did not get the new password e-mails either, but I believe it is from Comcast's spam filters not allowing these e-mails to get to my mailbox.

Yep :agree:. That is the only logical conclusion to me, considering that many folks did and are getting VTXOA emails, and some aren't. I tried twice to re-register the other night, and it was a no go. Lamont emailed me the password like one minute after I emailed him with the problem. So his got through right away, but the automated one did not.

I just logged onto my Comcast.net account and dug around and found the "Do not filter out Spam" checkbox. I checked it so we'll see soon

Found out a bunch of stuff from my server guy. One thing is yahoo has blacklisted this site and he's working on getting that cleared. There's a few other things we're working on too.

Yeah, I found out another problem, if you are with Comcast.net, their e-mail server filters spam and the VTXOA new site is filtered&stopped before we get it. I had to log onto my Comcast.net account and reset the e-mail filters to let spam get through to my mailbox. I am now getting e-mails from them and all is well again

I finally got a bunch of e-mails today on my yahoo acct. I suspect that the large number of e-mails sent out at the point of cutover caused VTXOA to be flagged as a spammer. It may take a while to get that straightened out. My wife ran into that a few years back trying to send out a lot of notices to a large group list for some volunteer work. She would have to wait a day or so for the acct to reset and send to the ones that didn't go thru.

Im checking into most of the ISP's that are rejecting email from vtxoa, its not going to be a quick finx in most cases.
hotmail/msn - looks ok
yahoo - mostly working, might take the rest of the day to be fully resolved.
CountryGirl, you use hotmail, not msn... :joke:

No, you can change your email account any time you choose to do so, are your notifications now coming to your hotmail account?

Normally, you should only receive one email as long as you don't visit the site.
If you visit the site and leave each time after reading the reply, then you will again get another notice.

Thanks for the reply. I may try changing my email address and see what happens. The one that I am using now is my "old" address here, but it still works for everything else....
Is there anything different about how the baord sends notifications? What address would the notification be coming from?
Just noticed my avatar is missing too...will have to re uplod I guess.
New forum is cool though....lots of new features etc....
