We have alot of riders in Central Florida area...problem is, my area is to much to cover and make everyone happy.....

Why not someone volunteer to be a west coordinator and someone to be a east coordinator?

Gets REAL disappointing to plan something and NO ONE SHOWS.... been doing it for a while now and still no luck.....almost ready to throw in the towel......

FWIW, I did respond to your Stone Mountain run, asking if you'd firmed up plans and letting you know that I was interested but wasn't sure at that moment if I could make it. As it turned out, I couldn't make it, and let you know that too. I'm still out of town now as I'm writing this, suriptitiously doing this instead of working like I should be. :D Needed a coding break.

Anyhow, I was disappointed to not hear back anything from you, but as it turned out, it wasn't a big deal (since I'm sitting here in Midland, MI). I realize that I could have emailed or called and maybe I should have. But this does go both ways, and that's all I am trying to point out. I am relatively new to the board here and I know there must be a history and, frankly, it doesn't surprise me. I always found summer to be a difficult time to get any group of people together, be it Boy Scouts, church groups or bikers, simply because of the demands of family and vacation and what not.

Just my buck-fifty on the situation. I know it's very frustrating and I do apologize for my part in frustrating others with my sparse comments. I had promised HairOnFire to be more communicative, so I'm trying.

Thanks for all that you do Lady VTX. I have volunteered in the past on many commitees and boards , so I know what it takes to get even some of the easiest stuff done.

I just have to vent once and awhile. I really ride almost nightly and would welcome anyone who wants to ride in the bay area. I think I will start a bay area chapter just to invite people, it's an open invitation.

Its real frustrating when you get a lot of people saying they want to be notified about rides and I waste my time ( i feel like it sometimes anyways)

No problem Lady, I hope you especially, and no one in general, took offense to my earlier post. I know that things happen that are beyond our control (which is why I've been in Midland this week) and I certainly don't feel as if you've not done your best here. Having been involved in several volunteer organizations over the years, I know how frustrated you must get when it's time for people to come through with their promises to participate. Hang in there Lady, it may not get better, but it can be fun trying! :lol:

I'd be interested in a ride on the 31st. Now the bad part; I have no idea as far as where to ride. I'll pretty much follow wherever though, so let us know.

Hey guys, I've been following your message board and contacted ladyvtx on a number of occasions and have yet to meet up with anyone from central florida. I logged on this PM to check on the Deleon Springs ride this weekend only to find it was cancelled. I guess I'm a little confused, but many of these ride notices don't mention anything about rsvping; I've just been assuming they were already organized and we should just show up. I guess also in the back of my mind (and perhaps others), not confirming gives one an "out" should the weather not cooperate. Anyway, I'm just writing this in case others are in the same boat, and to let you know that we appreciate your efforts.

Oh yes I had a nice ride up to deleon Springs. ate lunch and tested the cold water .. wow cold. started to rain pulled out anyway . It stopped down the road a piece. had a nice lonely ride. I thought some of you might show up anyway... and yes LadyVTX I would like to ride next Sat. with you guys...supposed to go to NC but changed my mind. (In a Cage) I still need a shopping trip to Daytona.....

Lotta folks riding to Ocala Sat. for the "Little Sturgis" thingie. Might be fun, will be wet... :D
That's the trouble with Florida, dead summer heat and rain is kinda our off season instead of winter.

Ocala sounds good to me ... ride to springs only produced a shower at the springs. Ride home was Dry.... What do you think Lady want to do it....????
