There is a real problem with yahoo email accounts. I don't think any of the automated password reset emails are making it though.

If you have a yahoo account and need to get back on the site please use this link  Contact Admin (http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/sendmessage.php) and give me your current user name and what you want your password set to. Thanks

Lamont, I dont have yahoo, but I just yesterday received a barrage of password reset emails that all came from my multiple attempts going back to Saturday. You actually reset my account manually (and I thank you for that) within a few hours of my emailing you. I have AOL. but its definately a bit odd having that few day lag the notification.

so who knows. :dontknow:

The password reset messages made it to my Yahoo email. But, they arrived three days after I made the request. After a couple days of my initial password reset request, I gave up, emailed you directly. You shot me a new password in minutes. That was greatly appreciated.

It looks like the password resets time out after 24 hours. So, they were pretty useless when I got them.

I do appreciate your efforts.

Same for me Im still getting emails from last week, one problem I had is that all my email notifications were going to the spam folder, I set a filter tagged VTXOA and now Im getting everything in the inbox but they are still late. I cant say it enough thanks for all your hard work:firstplace::bowdown:

Same thing happened here and the email account that I am using is on a mail server that I am the admin for, so I have access to all logs and can see that prior to that no attempt was ever made to deliver mail to the domain. :dontknow:

The reason some of you are getting them late is my server guy made some DNS changes so that we wouldn't get flaged as spam. It takes up to 48 hours for all the changes to take effect. I hope it's good now but if not just contact me and I'll fix it. AOL and MSN seems to be hit and miss too.

Mine came through to my yahoo account but only after several days, and then it went into my spam folder.

That would explain why I never got my password request and had to go a different route.

Keep up the great work!!

Mine arrived in the spam folder. Not an issue for the tech savy, but some people will automatically delete anything in there without even opening the folder.

Thanks again for the help.

I used a hotmail account and I tried the "click here" in the message I think 5 times and still have not received a single automated email, not even in the junk folder. Was manually handled via direct email.

I got mine today...even for my old accounts, which you had already deleted.

BTW, I've already switched over to gmail. Yahoo mail has given me nothing but fits...lots of outages, and problems with my account/address.

I use Yahoo mail. Got a notice late Saturday night that the site was going down on Friday and giving the new IP address. Busy weekend, so the URL worked by the time I even had a chance to try at about 2AM ET on Sunday. Old PW didn't work and I had not received a PW e-mail, so I clicked the link on the front page. Nothing. After sunrise Sunday, I tried the clicker again. Nothing, so I sent a direct e-mail Sunday night. Instant reply. Happy camper. Monday or Tuesday I had auto responses to both PW requests and a bunch of PM notices. Nothing ever went to SPAM, but I may have set a filter a few years back.

Thanks again, Lamont, for all the hard work. And for caring. :firstplace:

Got 2 e-mails for the 1st time this morning to posts I posted to yesterday. I did change my spam folder to except everything, but it came in the regular mail. Hope it continues.

My password reset e-mail showed up immediately, in the Spam folder as you had told us where to look, after my request on 11/8. No problems there. When I just checked, I see that there are e-mail replies to my posts in the Spam folder and have never gotten e-mail replies before. I suppose I can turn off that feature by poking around in the User CP. A big hats off (by big hats I am not referring to Kevin's) to you Lamont for all you have done for this forum and to Hal and all the other cosponsors.

As you know you can turn off email notification in the user cp, what I did to keep them out of spam was I labeled a filter in yahoo vtxoa and listed it as not spam. good luck

Thanks TennX. I chose to remain subscribed to threads I have posted to but chose no e-mail notification of replies.
