Thi site has posted a little comment about the Fury:
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8355277
And while the facts in that posting may be correct I don't think its the whole story. Why else would Honda go to the trouble of hiding the bottom of the bike if it is just gonna be a VTX1300 Chopper with fuel injection? Honda made too much about the industry changing concept of this new model. Heck if you want a 1300 with fuel injection you can already get a Yamaha that has it. I will continue to stay with my thoughts that it is going to be a hybrid until I am proven wrong.
Maybe the fury image that we see is nothing more then something to throw everyone off! I mean really, a chopper is not exactly a whole new concept to the biking industry:roll:.

The more I look at the pictures of the Fury and compare it Honda's current line-up, the more I think it will be a new take on the classic CB750-based chopper, like this:
- 1300 I4 (CB1300) or 1300-1800cc V4 (ST1300, Magna)
- HFT Auto Trans (DN01)
- Right-hand Belt/Chain Drive (new from Honda)
- Single-sided swingarm or Soft-tail suspension
- Under-seat gas tank (but filled in normal location)
- Wide rear tire (240-ish)
The location of the engine suggests that it is not a V-Twin -- its too far back. The shape/size of the gas tank suggets that it is not the real tank. The blacked-out lower/rear sections could simply hide the wheel, drive belt, suspension, transmission, etc.
*** Edit: If it is a V-configuration, it is narrow angle.
Of course, these premises are based on the Fury being roughly the size of a VTX 1300 overall.

I believe one thing. It will not be just another chopper. Something will be very different about it. It just doesn't make sense to come out with just another chopper.
That would be a waste of furyriders.com!!! Now I'm really lost? How can there be a fury riders.com when it hasn't even come out yet:shock:. Wouldn't you have to have one before you can claim you own and ride one:banghead:

I still say it is Diesel. They have had several and working on more since at least 2003.

This is not Honda's first chopper. In 1997 Honda had the Steed, a V-Twin 400CC Springer Chopper. In 1999 the American version was called the VLS (Springer) and VLX (Non-Springer).

It won;t be air-cooled either. The EPA regs are tightening down in the next 3 years, air-cooled engines will not make the newer tighter specs. That's why HD spent all that R&D on the "Revolution"(VRod ) engine. That will be their engine base when they switch over
Now I'm really lost? How can there be a fury riders.com when it hasn't even come out yet:shock:. Wouldn't you have to have one before you can claim you own and ride one:banghead:

No matter what this innovation from Honda is..one thing we do know..
It's not what a lot of us want. Some of us have added this and that
just trying to have something like a RoadKing, RoadGlide, or StreetGlide lookalike (but watercooled).
This is only my opinion, and I approve of this message.

Just a very blurry, picture of the puter screen with it on a video that is very dark and hiding the lower half of the bike. No real, up close, actual pics from Honda yet. Hal took a pic of his video and put it on his other thread

Looks like Honda is causing a fury over the Fury!
At some point people will get tired of standing in front of the stage, waiting for the curtain to rise and go elsewhere! :D

What chances has Honda taken recently? None. Ok, the Rune, which was nothing more than a grossly overpriced styling exercise that was never expected to sell in numbers. And, ok, the new DN-01, which is an embarrasingly overpriced engineering and marketing exercise to test out a new transmission. It is so absurdly priced that it is doomed to fail no matter how good it might be, which will give Honda another excuse to pull their heads back inside their shell.
Suzuki gave us the V-Strom and Wee Strom. Love it or hate it, Suzuki took a chance and won.
Kawasaki brought over the Versys, the 650R and now the naked version of it.
Triumph gave us the Scrambler, the Street Triple and a new Tiger. Hell, I believe the Bonneville was introduced since Honda last did anything significant.
Look at all the new bikes and engines tiny little Moto Guzzi has introduced recently. Same with Ducati. Honda should be embarrased.
Honda is now run by bean counters rather than enthusiasts. That may be good business in the short-term, but losing your status as a market leader simply cannot be a good long-term business strategy.
Pretty much sums my feelings about Honda. I hope they do something great very soon :banghead:

Yeah, I editted my previous post -- it won't be air-cooled. I was thinking about the CB1300 concept, which was air-cooled, but the production bike is liquid-cooled (see UK products).
Either way, I'm keeping my VTX. I'm happy that Honda is coming out with a new product for the cruiser market, but I'm not a fan of the dead-space between the tank and engine.

It's gotta be something, like you said, all the hype about new, revolutionary, cutting edge, etc, etc, etc. . . just coming out with a F.I. chopper would be a HUGE disappointment.
Guess we'll all have to wait and see. . . course it wouldn't be the first time Honda dropped the ball.:confused::confused:
I don't care what it is.
I'm keeping my 02'Xc.

Paul Yaffe stole my idea...baggernation.com when I went to buy the domain a week after looking it up and it was no longer available and registered to Paul Yaffe and he has started my idea of bagger parts. I am sure he will do much better with it than I would have but great minds think a like:dontknow:

I have bought most of my Hondas not for innovation but for quality and reliability. I won't argue the new innovation point - it is valid, but many buyers feel the way I do. I have owned almost every brand of bike and Hondas are consistently more reliable, while usually safe/basic/economical designs.
That would be a waste of furyriders.com!!! Actually what I was trying to say was not that the fury did not exist, but that the picture itself was not a representation of what was actually to come. But I am probably wrong,-- again:oops:.

Are they going to sell these things with a sheet of sheet metal? It will help when the first year riders that buy them figure out that they don't turn like their sport bikes. Well that is assuming that Honda will make them more affordable than the other "chopper" builders. If so, I think they will attract more beginer riders.

It looks like the Fury is using a mono-shock for rear suspension. That will make it super easy to slam it down low.
