May I suggest posting your info on another board, where it won't be 'poofed',,,
There are several to choose from.
I'd like to see what you had to say,,,
I also understand Hal's situation.

What other board should I post it in?
If it is in this website, won't it get poofed again?
And what is Hal's situation?

I'd love to see one, maybe ride one ... but I have no use for a chopper here!

Well, there are other VTX boards that are not controlled by VTXOA as they are not part of this website. You can do a websearch and find several. Many members here are members of other boards as well. 'nuff said.
I assume Hal's 'situation' may very well include keeping obligations mandated to him from HONDA, as he is a HONDA dealer.
HONDA wants to 'keep a lid' on this Fury, and they have surely made their point clear, including acceptable 'actions' of their dealers. Hal has information that is meant to be 'public' and I'm guessing some that is not. (perhaps more descriptive pics only shown, not given, to dealers)
Hal himself indicated:

Hal,, your info is correct,,,
Didn't see your post before posting my info.
I didn't see the reply to my thread about a dealer trying to sell one already.
Have you seen the Honda reps pics of it?

Lets just say that it hasn't been easy to post this. And the photo I posted is the only one I have seen although other sites have copied it and made it their own without any source attribution.

Our guys at the Ohio dealership did but as you probably know, no copies were allowed.

I got your pm, but because I haven't posted at least 5 times, it wouldn't let me pm back to you.
My original post about having seen the Fury is what got poofed.
Someone said it was because of a dealer trying to sell one already.
Don't know if that is the reason, I never saw that post.
I saw pics of the Fury at my local Honda dealership last week.
Happen to be in there when he came in. He showed them to everyone in there at that time. I won't go into specs because Hal has correctly listed them in above posts.
I do know it is not hybid, it is shaft drive, radiator is recessed in frame in front, abs option, Colors: Black, Blue, Red, Silver, Matte Black w/black wheels, single shock under seat. And a list of Honda accessories to be bought through dealership.
Dealers can not order until January.
Speculating cost to be somewhere from 12 to 14 thousand. But that was just speculation. could be less.
It is suppose to be debuted at the New York bike show and it will be at the Indianapolis Dealer show in Febuary.
The Rep was very protective of his photos. Each one had a number in it that represented that rep,, said if pics got out before the debut he could lose his job.
I don' know how many post this makes, but maybe I can pm now

Thanks, Goose! (That kinda blows my theory that the radiator would be under the seat!)
Hal,
I don't envy your position, as there are many people you have to try and keep happy! (we all know that's hard/impossible to do!!)
I think you are doing a very admirable job at that, and I salute you! :firstplace:
On another note:
Isn't it strange,,, HD has their 2009 'dresser' bikes now utilizing twin rear swing arm mounted shocks iso their old 'soft tail' swingarm design, and Honda appears to have dropped the rear swingarm mounted shocks to go with a monoshock on the Fury...
Granted, a monoshock and HD's soft tail are 2 different systems,,, but,,,
I believe the monoshock could very well be the way to go on MANY bikes!!!!!!

Believe me I love Hondas, I have had 5 of them in my lifetime. However, it seems to me honda is trying to copy the concept of the Star Raider only with a smaller motor, rear wheel and shorter frame. As a consumer why would I spend $12-14 grand on the Honda when I could spend the same on the Raider with better quality, factory backup and factory dress-up package availabilty.

I can't wait to see pictures of it. It may make me ride a piano sooner.

I'm not so sure about the claims many have made about Honda trying to copy the Raider. I seem to remember several members of this forum who reported going to a paid motorcycle survey, well over a year ago, in which one of the bikes shown appeared to be a VTX 1300 factory custom. (aka: chopper) I seriously doubt Honda just started building this bike since the release of the Raider. Secondly, I have seen the Raider up close, and I would not consider it a chopper at all. Just a bike with a bit more rake than average, with a fatty on the back. When I think chopper, I think clean. And from what I have seen of the Raider, it is anything but cean. The Raider seemed poluted with items that would be hidden on a true chopper.
I think it's far more likely that the Fury is the product of the results from that survey.
