If the Fury catches on and sells well, they won't be anything special as there'll be too many on the road. Success could well be its undoing.
HD makes a point of this with special models they release - that there won't be so many everybody has one. You feel not only special for riding a HD, but unique in that you won't see one in every group ride.
Seems that not having the same bike as everybody else is important to the buying segment that is into custom-like bikes.
If, otoh, the Fury remains exclusive and sells little, it screws the dealerships except to get customers in to look at it and maybe sell them something else.
