View Full Version : Help from my fellow CT. Xer's
Hello to all my fellow CT. Xer's,
Ok it's time to ask you guys for a little help again.
Everything is going well with the plans for the 1st Annual R.A.C.A. Run, and one of the things we have planned is to have the CT. Thunder Football Team at the cook out to meet all the Kids.
For thiis they have asked me if it would be possible for me to get some of my friends with bikes to come to one of their Saturday Football games and give the Children that they are involved with rides on our bikes around the field.
I told them that I didn't think that it would be a problem to make that happen, so now I'm asking my fellow CT. Xer's to help me make the dreams of these kids and the Ct. Thunder Football Team possible.
If you all think this is a good idea please let me know as soon as possible, so that I my let the Team know, that way we can get a date for this to happen.
Thanks to all you guys and gals for all your help not only with the R.A.C.A. Run, but with this request as well.
Sincerely, Geno & Suzi Doucette

Geno,
My wife and I will try to help you out with your ride, and this sounds like a good intention on someone's part, but it just seems like there is way too much liability connected to putting kids on the back of a motorcycle and riding them around on a grass field. You may want to rethink putting kids on the back of moving bikes.
If you want to do something for the kids I could help you out by bringing my rear engine dragster and letting them sit in it and get their pctures taken.
BigUgly
Mr. BigUgly,
Thank you for your responce.
You bring up a very good point, and one that was not thought of by me or the football team.
I will be meeting with them on Thursday night, and will let them know the point you have brought up.
I will also see if they would be up for what you suggested with the dragster, and get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for willingness to help, and your thoughts about the dragdter. I think this would br very cool, and the kids will love it.
Thanks again, Geno & Suzi Doucette

Geno,
We are leaving for the Honda Homecoming tomorrow and after the homecoming we are going to Canada for a little while so we won't be back for a couple of weeks. I am not taking a laptop so I won't be on the board for some time. Hope that doesn't disrupt your plans.
Thanks
BigUgly
No problem Mr. BigUbly,
Have a great and safe trip and I will be in touch when you get back. Thanks for letting me know.
Talk soon, Thanks again. Geno & Suzi Doucette
Ok Mr. BigUgle,
I sure hope that you had a great and safe trip.
I met with the football team on Thursday night (the 29th) they understand about us really not wanting to ride with the kids on our bike. They thought that your idea about the dragster was very cool.
The youth football day is August 14, atarting in the morning. They have all kinds of things plan for the kids. So if your able to make it I think the kids would have a blast.
They also said if others wanted to ride our bikes that they would have us all line up down in one of the endzones and that no one would touch the bikes, but the kids would be able to go look at them.
Please let me know what you all think, and if you would like to get involved with this.
Thanks to all for everything.
Sincerely, Geno & Suzi Doucette

Geno,
We just got back from the Honda Homecoming/Canada trip.
Please PM me with a phone number so I can reach you and work out details for bringing the dragster to the football game on the 14th.
Thanks,
BigUgly
OK Guys & Gals,
Here way go. This Saturday the 14th. At St. Bernard High School is youth day. BigUgly has been great in saying that he would bring his dragster down for the event.
If anyone would like to show up with their bike that would be cool as well.
hopefully we will be introduced as the R.A.C.A. Riders.
The event will be starting at 3:00 PM. The Football game will start at 6:00 PM.
To all who are interested, hope to see you there.
I think a good meeting place would be the Donkin Donuts in Montville, it's right on RT. 32 just a short distance from the school.
Thanks again to all, Geno D.

Geno,
What time do you want to meet up at DunkinDonuts if the event starts at 3pm?

Geno,
I will be at the Dunkin Donuts around 2:00pm and then go to the school to get the car out of the tralier and set up by 3:00. I would imagine that there is not much room at the Dunkin Donuts so I may have to just stop in front and then continue on to the school. I normally use the motorhome to tow the trailer but together they are 68 feet long and I would say Dunkin Donuts probably doesn't want that in their parking lot. I will more than likely use my small truck but if there is no room I will just continue on to the school.
See you tomorrow.

anyone interested in meeting at micky finn's beforehand as I have no idea where this event is...
D.
To everyone coming,
I'm with BigUgly. A 2:00 PM meeting at the Dunkin Donuts sounds like it would be the best for all.
To get to the Dunkin Donuts in Montville, Take exit 79 off of RT. 395. at the end of the exit ramp take a left and follow that road down to the stop light.
At the light take a left (You will be on RT. 32) the Dunkin Donuts will be about 1 miles on the right.
BigUgly and I will see you there for 2:00 PM. The School is 2 to 2 1/2 miles from D&D's
Thanks everyone see you there.
Sincerely, Geno D.
Hey Guys & Gals,
Please don't confuse exit 79 with exit 79A.
Exit 79A will take you to the Casino, Not what you want.
Exit 79 will be the Montville exit.
OK see you there.
Geno D.
