:dontknow: I don't see WHY Honda's doing all this top secret BS to hype it up....if it's going to be terribly expensive for what it is i.e DN-01, unless people are going to walk into a dealer and plop down cash, they ain't going to get financing for it in today's economy....

So enough already and release the dang thing! Get it over with so we can critique the he11 out of it, tell them what they SHOULD have done with it, and still not buy them...

When this eventually rolls out i know we will all be disappointed with the timing, design (outdated chopper) and of course price.

How can a company who used to be top of the game be getting it so wrong and so late.:dontknow:

:joke::joke::joke:

ain't that the truth...

...no one has seen it
...no one knows the price
...most aren't even in the market for a bike

yet still chomping at the bit to rag on it.

:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

this should be interesting...

It's ail smoke and mirrors. Honda did not want a leak so they released false info to give the pundits something to talk about.

My third cousin's, brother's wife, works with a guy who's aunt Jane's Gardner stole a package of info secretly distributed to all the dealers.

It says the new Fury is a Made-In-America, Fuel Injected, Turbo Charged, 2000 CC, Single Pin Chopper with an 240 rear and 21 inch front tire, selling for $10,000, which will be released April 1st.

Bingo!

Maybe the fury image that we see is nothing more then something to throw everyone off! I mean really, a chopper is not exactly a whole new concept to the biking industry:roll:.

I don't know what photo you think I posted but this is the only one I posted and the source is Honda. The hybrid guess was my way of trying to explain the hyperbole that Honda released when they showed that photo.

Hey Hal, how do you think the whole "power of nice" mantra (that we heard earlier this year from Honda) applies to the Fury?

You can get semi-custom production choppers for well under $20K with as much as 1600-1800cc worth of power. Honda would have to come in at $12K with a 1300 and that probably won't happen.

No - it's the power of MICE....also, where the name "FURRY" came from.

You can get semi-custom production choppers for well under $20K with as much as 1600-1800cc worth of power.

really?

where can I get a brand new factory built semi custom chopper for "well under 20k"?

link please.

here's what I found-- semi custom choppers aint cheap.

a 117 cu in "rigid" chopper -- the 2009 ridgeback from bigdog will cost ya $27,500 base price.

http://www.bigdogmotorcycles.com/models/single.php?model=ridgeback

the K-9 chopper from big dog will set ya back $28,900 Base but it's a softail.
http://www.bigdogmotorcycles.com/models/single.php?model=k-9

you can get a 100 cu in 2009 Big Bear chopper for $32,500 or a 114 cu in 2008 Big Bear Paradox for $36,400 the venom starts at $28,900 (carb) or $30,900 (EFI) the Big bear reaper starts at $27,900

http://www.bigbearchoppers.com/bikes/reaper.htm

You CAN get an unassembled bike starting at $20,000

http://www.bigbearchoppers.com/bikes/venom/chopper/unassembled.htm

American IronHorse Texas Chopper Base MSRP $31,900

<H3>American IronHorse LSC Chopper Base MSRP $27,900

</H3>http://www.ihot.us/Texas_Chopper_Motorcycle.cfm

Now according to this 2007 listing (can't find a 2008 or 2009) you could perhaps find one or two for a bit under 20k, some for 25K or so.

of course we know he's wrong about the ironhorse, big bear and big dog choppers cuz we have RECENT prices on those right from their websites...

so with a grain (or two) of salt...
