It would be nice if you could save the stockers as sometimes guys need them, and the end caps can be used for the key mod. good luck
Courtesy of the Madco camlock site.
1. Unscrewing the chrome/plastic end cap by turning counter-clockwise (looking
at the end of handle bar).
2. With an ice-pick, 16d nail, Phillips head screw driver or similar probe, insert
between rubber & white plastic to separate.
3. With the probe still in place, squirt some WD40 into the opening through the
small red tube.
4. Repeat #2 & #3 at additional locations around the grip.
5. Wiggle the probe at the various locations until they join and the probe can be
rotated all the way around the glue joint.
6. Slide the rubber grip & chrome/plastic trim ring off the white plastic tube.

Alternative Removal Method: If compressed air is available substitute #3 & #4
above to read (3) With probe in place blow air into opening at glue joint. (4) Move
probe as necessary & repeat above at new locations

The cap on the clutch side pops off, then repeat the above steps

Thanks Tennx, been looking for that. Also where to get one of those patches. I work in Mempho, if that's where they come from.

Thx for letting me know what to look for....I did it tonight.....I didn't have wd-40 on hand.....used windex...It worked great. I also think soap and water in a squirt bottle would cause less of a greasy mess than wd-40...not trying to rob the thread,,,,,it just worked good for me and cleanup was a snap. Saved my grips..all in good shape...Thx again

Installed my ISO grips last night - thank you for great instructions with pictures. I also installed Kewl risers. :-POnly problem is the cables are too short for my taste - the 2" longer cables arrived 15 minutes ago and I am heading out to the shop - gotta pull the tank - this was no big deal on my VT1100, so I don't anticipate any problems.

Installed my ISO grips last night - thank you for great instructions with pictures.

I am glad you liked the pictures. I decided to take pictures of my install because I learned a lot from the riders on this forum before I did my own install. I also added a few tips that I learned the hard way. Like trying to buff off glue from the chrome. ;)

I really like the reverse install of the Throttle Boss because it doesn't get in your way when you are really "Turning and Burning".

If you guys and gals have other tips, please send them my way and I will add your hard learned lessons and tips to my website. I also think it would be helpful if someone would try Windex on removing one grip and WD-40 on the other. I don't remember a problem removing the WD-40 so let me know what you think.

You will LOVE the grips and they still hold up well after many years of riding.

Hey, some people may not have a fancy air compresser and need to use WD-40 or Windex to get the job done. :-P

My Kuryakyn Iso Grip came off on my throttle side/spindle during a highway ride. The grip was simply spinning around as I continued to lose horsepower to the bike. The grip came off so easily after having it installed only 3 weeks ago and with only a few rides. I am very disappointed, frustrated, and mad about this. Any suggestions?
My first mistake was paying the dealership to install these grips. Now I'm off to the dealership for some glue and to speak to the service mgr. Wish me luck. No grip for the throttle. Simply plastic. I wish I felt better about this product. Could it have been an incompetent installation at the dealership. It seems so easy to install after reading and doing some research.:(

Dont beat yourself up, Ive had the glue fail on mine (not kury) 2 piece grips came apart from the vendor. You could easily do it yourself with golf grip tape. good luck

go to your local parts store and get some 3M emblem glue or some 3M weather stripping glue. his will hold the grip on until you want to remove it, guaranteed. Have a good day

Just wanted to add an experience when I removed stock grips from some one else bike this weekend. Having done this now a couple of times and benefitting from everyone else's experiences. This time we used a hacksaw blade  instead of a small screw driver. Using a thick leather glove, I held the hacksaw blade and it easily penetrated the inside of the stock grip. Because it's so thin it is easy to manipulate inside the grip and because it has a rough edge (the cutting edge obviously) it breaks through what little glue is in place. On throttle side we used a little Windex to make things easier but when we went to left grip we didn't even need this. It was a snap! Used golf grip tape and hair spray (liberal application) per the advice of others on this board and new grips are on! He let his grips sit over night and then rode Sunday in 80+ degree weather for about two hours...very happy!

HEAR, HEAR, for the compressed air!!! Super fast, no mess, can't be beat. One thing however, as suggested by another, pick up some good grip glue + don't try to squeeze the crap oughta the tubes Kury sends.

I got my stock grips off easy enough, but the glue Kury sent with the iso grips was all dried up so I had a tube of 3m weatherstrip and gasket adhesive. I smeared it all over the bars and slide the grips on. An hour later and they are still moving around a bit. Has anyone used this stuff on their grips? I'm hoping I'm just being too anxious and by tomorrow they will be solid. I just assumed everything would harden up in an hour or so.

Are you SURE the glue is dried up? I thought mine was too, and I had to squeeze the @*#&$& out of the tubes to get anything out of it, and then it did come out okay. (My fingers hurt for days.)
I heard of people using that Gorilla Glue instead of the stuff that comes with it too.

yep, I cut the bottles open. Not exactly air tight packaging. I just went back to the garage and was able to pull both grips right off. The adhesive is dry on the bike, but nothing stuck to the grips. Back to the drawing board.

Ok, this may sound lame but it works and could save a trip to autozone. I've glued grips on with a spray of my wifes hair spray. That stuff is really sticky and dries quickly.

Excellent info and pics thanks. Four questions for you.
What tool do you use to get the air inside the grip when you are using an air compressor?
How do you position the grip ahead of time? Isn't it hard to get it on there in the first place or do you slip the larger grip on the smaller side first to get the positioning? Is there a review of grips somewhere? It looks like most people have the Kuryakyn ISO grips but I was looking at a set from Avon that looked pretty cool.

Pull the end caps off. Jam the rubber tip of the blow gun just under the grip....between the grip and the bar. Quickly blow the air and pull.

As mentioned before, hair spray works very well. I've used it on many dirt and street bikes. Spray on a fairly liberal coat, not enough to drip off. Slide on the grips and twist a little to make sure it coats the grip and let it sit for a little while. I've never had one come off.

I just drizzled the glue into the grip and twisted it on. Worked fine. I also used a screwdriver like in the video to get the old grips off, but after I got the screwdriver in all I did was just twist the screwdriver like I was turning in a screw and it walked all the way around the grip breaking the glue bond. I must admit that the WD40 would be a good choice. However I think I would have wiped down the bar with alcohol or Naptha to get any risidual WD40 off. Just my two cents.
