No, not nekkid biker chicks... Florida weather!

Took a little spin up to St. Augustine today and it was HOT! Y'know, I've lived in sunny Eff Ell Lay all my life. Born here. But in the middle of the day when it's 93 or so and the humidity is 99 or so, it's just HOT!!. So hot you hope for rain to ride in. Still, when you feel that 3 degree temperature drop as you cross the bridge over the intracoastal waterway into Flagler Beach and that vast expanse of ocean blue spreads out in front of you and you get a sniff of that clean salt air... The sailboats and water skiers to the left and right. The pelicans flying in a 15 bird lineup formation just over your right shoulder, a riders' club in a 15 bike lineup headed in the other direction - left hands dropped in "the wave" - it's all worth it! Then you start thinking about October, November, December, January... and have to feel bad (maybe a little?) for the brothers and sisters up North who will be packing their X's in mothballs for the Winter while we will be breaking out the leathers and chaps and bundling up for those 55 degree rides to the beach.

Life is good... Another HOT! Sunday ride in sunny Florida with nothing to complain about but HOT!

Four of us rode 650 miles from 7AM to 10:30PM in 110 degree 'real feel' yesterday and it was still....GORGEOUS!

We had 13 bikes and did 270 miles from Kissimmee to Palatka and back.

It is indeed hot, but great time to ride though!

I made a mistake, I waited until 1230 pm to ride. The tepmps in Orlando were at around 96. I rode to Winter Garden from the south end of Orlando. When I arrived home I was soaked in sweat. A tall Ice tea was a welcome sight.

Wow! I just looked at the date on my original post and it was 2 years ago! 8)

And it's STILL HOT!

Just got back from a week in Anna Maria Island. Found some nice roads coming back. Rode the bridges of Tampa Bay with a guy who trailered his Ultra Glide Classic from Indiana. Nice folks.
