View Full Version : Mass X Riders meet August 7 weekend
Massachussetts is trying to get a 5 state meet in Massachussetts on the weekend of August 7th. Vrrm in Mass is trying to plan it and then do a ride around Quabbin Reservoir. At our meeting this weekend on the Greylock run the consensus vote was a go.Please let me know from members who could not make the Greylock ride if you are in agreement. Thanks

Rich, you have a great sense of humor
But I do agree,if they can't get it together,we plan our own ride 8)
I have sent vrrrmm an email I will let you know what he says. I also checked out the Mass site and I would agree that if anyone has a suggestion for a ride to bring it up.

If the Massachusetts Group ride doesn't pan out, how about heading down to Misquamicut and then along Route 1 to the Narragansett sea wall?
I'm sure Jeff could find some nice back roads to get us down to RI and then maybe some of the RI riders can suggest some routes from Narragansett onward.

I would love to ride again but I am not able to do the 7th. If possible can we do something on the 8th? I know Manny posted something for the 8th which may be a possibility.

I would be happy to show everyone around if thats what we decide to do.
Parking at the sea wall may be a bit tough on a Saturday afternoon but we can give it a shot 8) At least its a nice ride.
We were going to have our monthly meeting at the 5 state HO-down -
The 5 state is off but is the meeting still on?
Maybe we can decide on a meet point (Hopyard???) and just ride from there. What do you say folks - Saturday will be here soon :!:

That sounds like a great ride Leslie.... Unfortunately unless we do it on the 8th I will not be able to make it. We are hosting a Korean girl from Karesn sister church and will be doing the host thing on Saturday.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we change it to Sunday I need some Therapy.
SJ
I suggest the 8th so that Steve can come and pull the couch behind his bike for therapy, but still think of something to do for Saturday, Also agree with Rich on meeting at the Hopyard as a meeting point on Sunday.

Unfortunately I won't be available to ride this weekend. My father has been admitted into the ICU at St. Vincent's Hospital due to some extremely serious health issues which don't look too promising.

So - which is it going to be???
Saturday or Sunday?
I can make one but not both (damn kids) so I should probably attend the "meeting / ride" instead of "ride" 8)
Right now - both days are looking good weather-wise.
Don't make me send Joel-Dad over there!!!

Please reply if you all can do Sunday. I have to do the Family thing on Saturday. I agree Poison Damn kids !! Just joking of course.
WHO IS GOING TO JEFF"S THURSDAY NIGHT?
We can get a group consensus then and post the results.
Weatherman is calling for heavy rain tomorrow, We might have to come up with an alternate plan. If Bike night gets rained out, and majority rule is for Sunday, I suggest we meet at like 10 am at mickey Finns for a pot luck run. Jeff has some optional runs planned and we do group consensus and go.

Sunday is not an issue for me,I'll be there 8)
Shiek,I'm hearing the same thing, rain gone by afternoon!!
NO :rain1: ,NO :rain1: ,NO :rain1:
Any chance of meeting earlier on Sunday??Most people work Monday and that could have a chance of limiting our ride.
I was thinking 8:30 or 9am.Dave,I hate to quash your time over an hour or so,but sometimes it makes all the difference in the world. You leave a little earlier and you get back alot earlier, just my opinion.

I'm so confused.....what the hell are we doing...which days...what month...where and when..... .....only kidding, but actually I still don't know what you've all decided on..... if ya have
time was just as a suggestion, same as meeting place. Just in case we can't make Jeff's because of rain.
