This makes 4 out of 4 who will vote no:

Three of my sons ride and have expressed similar views.
I will not be able to forget them and will vote accordingly.

I looks like this thing has no chance. I believe we've got some pretty realistic folks serving in Concord. I'll keep you posted.

Plum, thanks for the time and effort you've put into this for everyone..I hope it dies where it started, but it is a reminder that we have to be responsible for our actions while out there on the road..a few can always make it bad for the rest of the motorcycle community..again, thanks for your time and effort with this.

And another:

David,

I agree with you that HB95 is a bad idea and I will oppose the bill.

You can add another vote against the bill.

I'd encourage everyone to take a moment to write to your reps and voice your opinions. We can't let this one slide by and assume that the "other guy" will get it down. Ken's link to your reps names make them easy to find.

Dear Steve,
I agree with you that this bill is a violation of our liberty. I will be strongly opposing it.
Sincerely,
Nancy Elliott
State Representative
Merrimack

Dear Nancy,

Thank you for your reply and your vote against this bill.

I have to say that in this modern electronic world of email, message boards and the like, NH's negative economic impact would be swift. Writers on one board in partiicular has already suggested broadcasting to the cyber world that NH would not be as friendly to motorcyclists as we'd prefer. This is certainly not what we want to see. The impact on local restaurants, quick mart type service stations, coffee shops, tourist sites (both private and state owned), factory outlet stores and retail spots of all kinds would feel the loss.

I recall seeing a survey that suggested that NH has the highest per capita motorcycle ownership in the country. That speaks volumes for our citizens, but also speaks to the populatity of our state as a motorcycle travel spot.

Again thank you for your "no" vote and please lobby other reps to take the same position.

Sincerely,

Steve

I just got a reply from Rep David Hopper from Weare, he is on our side, he rides a 1300, hope it isn`t orange. O noooooooo, did I say orange:yikes: Anyway it seems we have one more no vote. If any would like to attend the NHMRO meeting this Sunday let me know I will be going. The hell with football. I also will be going to Concord on the 21st to attend the hearing, anyone game for that?:D

My dad is also a state rep and he is voting against it and has been working hard on getting other reps on board and voting it down.

Paul, I saw your dad's name on the list of reps. I figured we had a sympathetic ear.

One of the reps responded to me that a notice went out to all of the republicans and that body of reps were pretty much voting against the bill. She mentioned that the dems needed to be worked on.
