I think I understand where Honda is going with this bike. Honda brought this bike out to attract new, younger buyers. It wasn't produced for many of us on this board.

When you attend a bike show, notice how the younger folks all gather around and ohh and ahh the choppers and pro-street bikes. Now here's an affordable, somewhat of a chopper, bike that many new younger riders would like to be seen riding. The young girls will want to ride on the back and the young guys certainly envision this thought. They may very well see this bike as a chick magnet and they will see this as a cool bike, not an old guy's cruiser. Most younger riders aren't interested in a bike that is designed for the long road. The Fury has pretty clean, uncluttered lines to it and it will sound pretty good as well. I'm sure it will run out fairly well with EFI and it's reduced weight and that will be a draw as well.

Some older guys will like it's affordability as a bar hopping and short ride run around bike. Honda's reputation for quality will be a draw for this bike as well. I think Honda will sell a bunch of them.

Finally, Honda should have chromed the forks and triple trees on the Fury.

Absolutely...I don't think the chopper market is played out, I think the 30-40k chopper market is played out. I see these things in the paper all the time, 40k chopper for 15-17k. And they aren't selling for that. A cool 12k Honda chopper with good resale most likely should sell well.

Don't know the pricing yet...

What if it's a cool honda chopper for LESS than 12k?

Say 10,500 - 11,500??

How many would they sell.

I'm told it will start at $11999.00. If that's true it will sell even in today's economy.

Honestly, I hear a lot of people saying that the "bike is lame", "Honda missed the marK", "the look has gone out of style" etc...

I can honestly say that I like this bike better than the Raider, Rocker or even a few of the Victory's. Granted, it has a smaller motor than the aformentioned few, but for what it was designed for, it's a good looking dependable bike that is adequately priced! I think Honda did OK. It's not a bagger, it's not a Cruiser, it's a bike that fits the weekend rider nitche and that's about it. I predict that it will sell better than the Rune!...LMAO!!

I like it too! Great raw material! Don't see $3000.00 more than my 1300R though.
