I think it looks pretty cool and I can see a lot of potential in this bike. Pipes and a rear fender kit comes to mind. They did a great job at hiding the radiator from the side view too. The only thing I can say I hate is the rear fender. It needs to follow the lines of the wheel. They made the same mistake with the Rune too. That can be fixed.

I like it too, however I think it would like it with more chrome. I agree about the rear fender, maybe it needs more tire or lowered.

dissapointed....and its a little to late..but deffinitly after market parts potential!!
start off by chucking them ugly pipes for starters.......
the biggest i see selling in after market is chrome frame rails!!!!!!!! and a fat tire set up
the bike is a little old school....bare and simple...

Engine should have been painted black! Those reflectors look like a sore pencil and should be the second thing removed after the tank stickers. I do hate that void but boy adjusting the valves on that front can is going to be a snap:lol: Never liked black wheels but those do look nice especially with the color of the bike which ain't bad either. FI on the 13 engine should make a lot of folks happy and put an additional amount of snap on this machine with the reported less weight. Fix the back end with a bigger tire and get rid of all the hang me down crap on the fender and I would say it's not bad at all especially for Honda. I think next year we will see a bigger engine and redsigned VTX or something named different. At least this is a start:thumbup:

Not disappointed at all, looks pretty good.
start off by chucking them ugly pipes for starters.......
doesn't everybody lose the stock pipes on ANY cruiser??
the biggest i see selling in after market is chrome frame rails!!!!!!!! and a fat tire set up
tastes, like opinions vary... the aftermarket is always tapped by bike owners.
the bike is a little old school....bare and simple
That's a GOOD thing. :)

Not bad looking. Not something I would ever buy as I never was a fan of the neck high up in the air, big empty space over engine chopper look ala OCC.
A pro street would have been much more appealing. Tank looks nice, capacity probably not an issue for that type of bike (bar hopper).
I'm more interested in what I can steal off that bike and put on mine (wheels, front end??)
It will be interesting to see how much power the FI adds....probably only a few HP though.

Dont care for it, the mistake they made was not asking the people who may actually buy the bike, hell you guys build better looking bikes . IMHO and . 02 have a good one

A blacked out motor would be nice. Who knows maybe that will be an option. Pipe's? Everyone changes the pipes anyway. If this was my bike I would do a fat tire kit, pipes, detal the motor and paint. Other than that it looks pretty cool to me. I don't care how big the tank is, this is not a cross country ride away. Oh and I got to tell you a 1300 has a much better sound than a 1800 IMHO.:doorag:

I like the thoughts of FI for the 1300 and that is all I see. I would not be interested in the Fury except for the first glance at the real thing. Ok my dimes up!

 could make a nice bike with this....
I just bet with a little bracket mod a set of BuBs off a 1300c would fit that thing....

That rear fender sure has a lot of extra space. I'm wondering if Honda used their heads and gave owners the option for a much larger tire with zero modification? We will soon find out, I suspect....
Next question, is it in the VTX family? Since it uses the VTX motor does that mean we have to referr to it as a VTX relative? Is it one of us? :yikes: LOL
Spike, do we have to create a new folder for this second cousin-of-a-bike here on VTXOA?? :D
Welcome to the family Junior!

Well, I like it. I think the pipes look good, too. I agree with taking off the reflectors, etc...but at least in this picture, the badging is minimal. I'd also lose the passenger seat and rear pegs.

The problem with the rear fender with that style softtail swingarm is it either has to sit way up there to provide adequate room for swingarm travel like the Fury does, or it has to be attached to the swingarm to hug the wheel and either have no passenger pad or build something like the little passenger perch like the Rocker. No passenger place would follow Honda's Rune design, make it a solo ride. The solo concept would have worked better on this Fury than it did on the Rune, that's for sure

Not really. The Titian has more of the look I would like to see in a softtail.

I am willing to bet that the pictures they have on their site, and this one you posted here Lamont, is with air suspension and it is at it lowest setting(or completely out of air ) so you are seeing it at theupper most travel of the swingarm in the pic. Once you air it up, that fender will look just like the Fury's fender, high up off the tire ;)

Don't get me wrong, I do like the look of the Fury. The front fender is very sharp, wheels are good too. The tank is a cool shape, but it needs to be larger than 3 gallons. We know how Honda's tank measuring is, they said 5 gallon tank on the 1800 and it turns out to be more like 4 gallons. So, they are saying 3 gallons, let's hope that it is at least 2.5 gallons. The forks, either need to be chrome, or color matched to the bike too. And a single piston caliper on the rear?? That's a tad weak don't you think?
So, like we say, there is rarely a bike that is perfect from the start. They each have their own quirks and areas that need fixing. 8)

A stock Titan shows 1" to 1.5" of tire plus the rim lip for sure, that promo pic is lowered in the rear for sure. Plus the travel on a HD style soft tail is much less than what most do with the VTX. Shorter shocks, stiffer ride on the American V Twin customs = hard, poor ride quality but cool requires sacrifice ;) On the Fury with a mono shock, that might be the killer for getting it to sit nicer, will have to see what they did in that department first.

Wonder why they didnt keep both brake rotors on the same side,
have one side super clean.
You could probably flip the front around?

The rear fender and taillight are a little too similar to the Shadow Spirit C2 however.

Looks like a Good bike to me.
it also looks like Lamont, Hal and Wilbur were 5 years ahead of Honda with their bikes.
Does that make you feel vindicated or Like you have been ripped off?
you were way ahead of your time.

So it looks like a nice platform for modification....
1800 motor, dual discs up front, fat tire, new pipes, larger tank, more chrome....
OK, so maybe easier to just start from scratch.
But still not bad looking.

I do like the bike, I would like to know the size of the tank to give my final say !
What I just can't understand is some guys that pays ( or paid ) lots of money for a raked triple tree going after the OEM rake from Honda.
I do believe it's going to be another success story.
:congrats: to Honda .
PS: Someone said something bad about using the 1300 engine. Maybe the 1300 is " better " and they decide to use it instead of the 1800, or maybe ( just maybe) they are keeping the 1800 on the side for a future option.:firstplace:

This bike along with the silly looking and over priced DN-01.....I think honda has a loose loose situation IMO!
At least they were smart enought to add anti lock brakes to there sportbike lineup.

Ummm....care to elaborate? At this point I see nothing new that has not been done over and over. There is no new ingenuity that is visible and it is a dated style that was kicked to the curb a few years ago.
You can buy a Raider, trick it out for half the price since we all know anything you want to put on a Honda will cost you 3 times what others offer for "non-Honda's" and end up with a nice looking bike.
Sam from BMS has built an empire doing just that with a platform that was designed to be customized.
Better yet, build what you want from scratch and save money. If a Honda drive train is what you want, I have a few in crates here at the shop I will sell you. Buy any frame you want, any style you want and be done for under $20K...probably for under $15K if you can do metal work and paint....Heck, you could probably be closer to $10K if you know how to buy your parts. Then you REALLY have a custom bike and don't have to deal with Honda's lack of creativity.
Dont get me wrong, the bike looks OK, but they did not break any new ground, that we have seen so far, with this design. So far it looks like Honda took the easy way out and built a new product from left over parts using designers that just cant wait for the AARP form to arrive in the mail box.

There are always opinions, here is mine. Tank too small. The first spec. I saw was 2.4 gal..
Single rotor in the front.
Rear fender looks okay. Take a look at the Harley Rocker C. The rear wheel does not conform at all to the design lines of the bike.
F.I. engine, should be anyway but good for them. Engine is right size for the bike. An 1800 would be too heavy and out of balance. My favorite option would be a 750 in line four. Seen them on many chopper, looks good.
Not for my style of riding. Not an over the road scoot. In town bar hopper, absolut.
Just mine. Thanks for reading.

I kinda have to admit too, that I'm not that thrilled with the new Fury...At first glance. The other pictures on the website where Lamonte grabbed his from, shows the bike with other options. Like chrome or aluminum wheels. Much better looking than those black wheels. I'll study up a bit more tonight, when I'm off work, and try and report again to tomorrow. Until then... To each his own.
