Would you trade your X for one? Would you add to your stable? Depends on price? Doesn't matter what the price, you want one? Wait a year and see what changes/get the bugs out?

I like the new Fury, looks like a great platform for mods. If I had the money laying around I would consider it as an addition to my X.

Hope the Fury is a winner and the aftermarket sales go thru the roof. Hal deserves it.

It all boils down to what Honda is going to let each dealer have. 1 per dealer (if that is the average allocation) x 1100 dealers isn't a lot of units. And the economy is probably going to impact the sales. I would love to have one but not sure the wifey would spend the money right now. I hope a lot of you can swing it cause the video shows a great looking bike.

Good looking bike. I like it. I am not really in the market for a new bike right now, but if I were I would give this bike a great deal of consideration. Would I make some changes? I have on every bike I have ever purchased. That is a part of the fun. I think the bike will have a great deal of appeal to a lot of folks out there, especially the guys that don't have the skills or the money to chop, rake, extend, etc. We have a local dealer who is selling Johnny Pag Choppers so fast he can barely keep them in-stock. They are only 250 cc bikes but they go for around 5 grand. I predict a lot of the folks who are buying those kind of bikes will definietly want to take a look at the new Honda, especially if they are $10 to $12 grand out the door.

No, I don't care for it at all.

The front half is cool, the back half needs a lot of work, including the engine needing to be black. Would I add it to my garage??? Depends on how much, I can get a new 1800 N for @$8,500 or less. I like the N look over the chopper look

No way...I will keep my 1800N and 1300S. I agree with everyone else, this bike is going to need a lot of mods, rear tire, rear fender, engine, pipes, forks, etc...

But maybe once I see it in the store? Pictures sometimes make a vehicle look totally different then when you are standing next to it.

All the Hype and the bike sucks<< JMO Looks like the Raider. Just to me doesn't seem like it will be a huge seller unless you are a Girl. It seems Feminish<<<<

The 1300 engine is an excellent platform, and the bike has a nice clean style (unlike the raider) but......
No - not a chance I will own one any time soon.
It looks like they did a really nice job with it and all, I'm just not a fan of that style bike.
I need a bike to travel with.

200 tire is small these days. Harleys even come with 200 now on their touring bikes.

If a 200 is big enough for a bloated "tourer" with stuff hanging all over it, it oughta be plenty wide enough for a little 1300cc chopper.

how wide is the tire on the captain america chopper that peter fonda rode?

for those that want a 240 or larger tire, there are lots of alternatives (for a 240 chopper price).

the fury is what it is.

a simple, clean little chopper with a factory warranty.

a starting point for tinkerers or an end point for those wanting a simple little bike night ride that WILL get some attention. :)

You're right, but again you took what I typed out of context. My comment on the wide tire was directed to someone saying that a 200 is a wide tire. Clearly, it is NOT these days. When Suzuki's and Yammy's/Stars cruisers and choppers come with 240's, Honda's jump into the ring with a 200 is like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
A 200 on a tourer is also a dumb idea. Wider tires = lower MPGs not something you want on a road sofa ;)

Sorry, but it looks nothing like a Raider. The raider is cluttered with crap, and this bike is very clean and minimalist. Sure it has stuff that may need to be changed. I've NEVER seen a bike that is perfect for everyone right off the showroom floor. Lamont said it best. It's a canvas waiting to be painted with your personal touch.

Now, that being said, the hype of "never seen before" and such let me to think technological advancement along with styling. I don't really see that. Just major visual restyling. 200 on the rear is perfect. It leaves the bike open for a larger wheel if that is the owners choice, but provides a decent footprint for most. Remember, the loosely used term "chopper" is not synonimous with fat rear tires.

To sum it up for me:

What I love about it:
the cleaned up look of the 1300 engine
the exposed frame
the tank
the rims
the softtail setup
FI
the brake light
the front fender
the CTR will still fit it. Yay!!!!!!!

What I hate about it:
the rear fender
the final BMW style final drive
the rear pegs
the front pegs (they realy could have done a cleaner look for controls)
the pipes (but who's gonna keep the stock pipes anyway)

depends what ring you jump into.

you may be right... we'll know more when the price is announced.

depending on the price, the honda may be the only one in it, then the honda is the only one armed. :)

the price is starting at $ 10,900 appr'''apr....

the bike is 6 years to late...it is a simple clean, naked ,old school style chopper..

the bike will appeal to men and woman..as mentioned..at 669 .lbs and a low seat height 26" and change."and for some mother-inlaws"

i do like the matching frame paint to tins scheme..

honda thinks the market will be there for this bike....

lets hope so..

i personaly think its a waste of time...honda is using alot of extra parts..honda has not listened to the public
at all..or there fans for that matter..it will be a short lived bike..

i predict 2 yrs..it will be axed...

How can you say Honda has not listened to it's fans? I have heard TONS of VTX riders say that they wished Honda would make a chopper or pro street. Not all Honda riders are one voice. Some want tourers. Some want choppers. Some want this. Some want that. This is what many of Honda's fans have been waiting for.

I agree with cyberhick. While my satisfaction with my 1300r wont let me buy a Fury, I think a lot of people will be into this bike. I wonder how quick the after market will be to modify this scoot? With it's short seat height I bet a lot of women will be into it! Honda reliability and a cool look! Call me sexist, but I think a sweet girl on this bike would be cool!

It's so funny to hear this banter against the FURY!

When the Yamaha Raider came out it seemed as if all of the Honda skeptics were saying, "Man, this is a great bike, I wish Honda had the brains to put out a new bike, something with some rake and a bigger rear tire. Blah blah....They keep letting their customers down.. Blah Blah....Do they even listen to their customers? Blah, blah...."

Of all the bikes out there, I think that this is by far the closest thing to the affordable custom available. Sure, you can buy a Big Dog or an OCC bike for $40,000 or you can buy a damm clean, reliable, single pin Fury for 1/4 the cost. Honda has done well IMO and I predict that this bike will be hard to keep on the factory floors...even in this crappy economy.

I really can't wait to hear it. Honda claims that they have redesigned the cam on it to change the sound and give it a Power Pulse feel. Man, slap a set of BUB's on there and it's going to sound purty!

I don't really like it and would not buy it for any price. If I want something like that I would build it from scratch so I would look better. that is my 2 cents I never liked the Yamaha Raider either.
