How long till companies like Vance and Hines start coming out with exhaust kits and other parts for the Furry? Do they have to wait and buy one like everyone else or do they get one early to have parts ready for the public when they arrive at the dealers?

No, aftermarket companies will have to wait and get a model in their hands before they can start the R&D for making parts. When the VTX first came out, it took over a year for the first parts to start trickling in.

Another loser trying to start trouble, how a legit question sparked some a-hole to start runnin his mouth. I said it is not practical for me, am I not allowed to ask questions? Just cause it's not for me doesn't mean I'm not interested at all in it. Go bother someone else, loser.

No problem, you are now on my Pin Head Ignore List.

Many of the VTX 1300 part should fit it already, as the motor is pretty much the same. Therefor, pipe manufacturers may have to fab a new exhaust bracket, but should be able to fit the same designs.

I've seen several close-up pics already, and I know our CTR will fit with no modification. We'll try to get ahold of one as soon as possible to start researching some other parts.

You could be right, but you never know. They are still way behind on F model exhausts and wether or not past designs will fit. I just wouldn't be expecting parts to be available for when the bikes hit the showroom is all

I would expect nothing to be available for AT LEAST 3 months. And the first items available will be those that need little or no modification from the VTX1300 design.

Its gonna be interesting to see who is gonna invest new money to make a new part for the Fury in this economy. Even when times are good they usually sit on it for at least a year.

Dyno-Jet needs to come out with a PC for the 1300 now. Mapping it for max HP and torque sure is going to suck the gas from that small tank.

What will also be interesting, is how many Mfgs will dump R&D money on a "limited production" bike.

I may have missed this info in one of the many threads going around, but is there any word on how many Furys Honda is going to produce initially?

Especially after some of them got burned with the Rune products. Aftermarkets don't like investing in a line of parts for a bike that might only be in production for a short period given Honda's track record with niche type models :-?

Yes but, even the Rune has some custom parts available.

Yes but, even the Rune has some custom parts available.

But the key word there is "some". Fact is that Mfgs are less likely to commit money to a bike that they know has a finite market.

i just hope the parts that are released are better than the rune's. i believe rivco has the only windshield and exhaust for it. and i personally hated the look and installation of the exhaust, plus at least one of the "restricting" plates came loose and now rattle with exhaust pressure. i just cant wait to get my hands on a fury to start seeing what fits.

And the Rune is 4+ years old already.

I have been in contact with my man at BuB Enterprises...here is part of one of the emails....

Many factors are considered before we invest the time and money to make a system for any bike. Not the least of which is how many units is the bike projected to sell. We will keep a close eye on this bike and see what develops.

I know the VP and marketing people are looking at it... also there may be a chance that the Jug Huggers for the 1300's maybe able to be refitted and a new mounting bracket constructed to make it work for the fury...

Until a new model shows signs of being a market hit they can't afford NOT to support, many smaller aftermongers won't support it or will only do so if a private owner loans them his bike to use as a testbed. The Fony er I mean Fury will like sell in enough volume you can count on the ones like Vance & Hines, Cobra etc to support it pretty quick. Sometimes the big boys can get hold of a pre-prod unit before it hits the showrooms, but don't count on Mustang having one of their wonderful seats the first day to replace that vinyl kotex in the pictures. Plan on suffering for it if you gotta be one of the first to own one.
